Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) told reporters on Monday that he won’t rule out leaving the Democratic Party, as Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) did last week — but he added it won’t be in the near future.
“I’ll look at all of these things. I’ve always looked at all those things, but I have no intention of doing anything right now,” Manchin told CNN reporter Manu Raju, before adding: “Whether I do something later, I can’t tell you what the future is going to bring.”
The centrist Manchin has been a member of the Democratic caucus since he was elected to the Senate in 2010. The 75-year-old former West Virginia governor, along with Sinema, have helped derail several pieces of legislation backed by the party’s rank-and-file members, including the Biden administration’s $3.5 trillion Build Back Better bill. Manchin has also opposed efforts by Democrats to end the Senate filibuster rules and has blocked White House appointees.

Do not be surprised if this is just another way to get another 15 minutes of ‘fame.’ He played a similar game, just not going so far as to mentioning out loud about the ‘possible’ change of political party. Manchin LOVES the attention. He probably watches videos of himself ‘bucking the system’ ‘maverick’ etc. Only no one ever called him a maverick. They save that nomenclature for RINOs that talk down regular Americans, and consider crossing the isle, voting with democRATS.

Traitor Joe is not running for re-election. He thinks he can fool the people of West Virginia into electing him governor.
When Walker lost, that gave Traitor Joe a big boost.
With Chuckie’s permission, he could vote for every conservative bill that came up KNOWNING his vote would NEVER be THE vote that passed the bill. That way he satisfies the folks back home by saying “Hey I voted for that or voted against that,” and have it both ways.
Then Sinema checkmated him. She gets to be THAT vote and Traitor Joe MUST now cast real Democrat/communist votes to satisfy Chuckie and the rest of the American hating Democrat /communists.
So, now THE ONLY political move Traitor Joe has left - if he still wants to by governor of West Virginia, is to surrender his Hammer and Sickle pin and join the Turtle’s cabal.
If he does not switch to Republican he is finished. If he does switch he at least has a chance to be governor of the Mountaineers.
Sinema out maneuvered and it’s a beautiful thing.
