Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) on Monday said her recent comment that the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack would have been armed and successful if she planned it was “sarcasm,” after she drew rebukes from the White House and Democratic leaders.
“The White House needs to learn how sarcasm works,” Greene said in a statement. “My comments were making fun of Joe Biden and the Democrats, who have continuously made me a political target since January 6.”

The whole culture that the left has created since Jan 6th is to silence any dissent, jokes, sarcasm and legitimate criticism. They do this by creating a culture of outrage over every remark. Just speak your mind and ignore the idiots.

It was clear to me that it was sarcasm from the very moment I heard about it. It really makes a biting point. The 1/6 protest on the Capitol was an abject failure if it had any intention of overthrowing government. Where were all those evil black guns that Trump supporters own?

An insurrection, by definition and by necessity, would be with arms and ammunition and with able-bodied men and women, and with a lot of preparedness.
J6 was, at best, a riot that got out of control, but, insurrection was not on anybody’s mind that day. Only the left wanted to define it that way.
And Shiffty made up some Trump dialog as a Mafia gangster, and when caught, called it Parody.
Interesting how MTG gets roasted, but CNN and others can openly call for the assassination of Trump and not a peep from those attacking MTG.
On Inaugural day of 2017, CNN spent several hours talking about what would happen if Trump and Pence were assassinated before being sworn in. Then there was their glorification and hyping of Shakespeare in the Park’s portrayal of Trump’s assassination in their rendition of Julius Caesar. Then there was the almost continuous comparison of Trump to Hitler.
How many times did we hear elected democrats call for violence throughout the Trump term?

Mark my words, they will try to indict her for that comment, just like the Trump joke about the Russians knowing where the democrat emails were.
The fact they can do it with a straight face is a direct result of the failure of our educational system to teach rhetoric and literary devices. When you raise a functionally illiterate generation, they completely buy into the left’s narrative that twists every innocent, facetious or sarcastic comment into a nefarious plot.

Of course she has freedom of speech, but I don’t think her sarcasm served any purpose other than giving the left more ammunition to use against us.
