Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D) is weighing a push to end or repeal a grandfathering clause in a gun control bill in order to force residents to hand over any AR-15s.
The CT Mirror noted that Connecticut’s General Assembly has passed two “assault weapons” bans, and each time, the bans had a grandfather clause, allowing those who already owned the banned firearms to keep them.

Lamont left unsaid “AR-15 should not be allowed in the state of Connecticut with what we are planning next. I think they are killers of our power, Your not serious about stopping communism if you don’t own a AR-15.

You know that those dominoes would fall shortly after an AR-15 ban. I think the gangstas are becoming really fond of the Glock with cheap auto-sear. High-cap mags are readily available, and I’ll bet stolen Glocks are so cheap that you can toss one and get another quite easily.
Definitely. My main point, which I didn’t really make, was they’re going after the gun of white men.

There was a little bitty cutie on the force in a neighboring town. A friend asked her how she would fare against a large, determined attacker. She said “That’s what the gun’s for.” I think she’s gone. There was a semi-credible story of an Oregon State trooper that was a real C-you-next-Tuesday. I heard she was found handcuffed, naked, to the door of her patrol car.
“That’s what the gun is for” people don’t belong as police.
Next Tuesday calls for a price to be paid...

Command presence counts in a cop. She was cute enough to talk me into about anything, but there are some real a-holes, hereabouts. And taking down a tweeker or mentally ill homeless guy is a job for more than one cop, even if they’re in pretty good shape. The local guys respond in overwhelming numbers, which looks kind of silly, sometimes.
