If the US wants to continue being the ‘top dog’ militarily, it MUST have access to these chips. If its stock of weapons, particularly missiles and ‘smart’ ammunition is depleted, the ChiComs will have a much easier time of taking ROC.
Yes, TSMC is building a plant in the US. It will be manufacturing CURRENT generation chips. It won’t be in operation unfortunately, until the current generation chips are REPLACED by next generation, SMALLER, therefore FASTER and MORE POWERFUL chips. These newer, more powerful chips will be built in ROC.
America cannot afford to let ROC fall into ChiCom hands.
