A federal court has dealt a massive blow to Democrat President Joe Biden’s agenda by blocking his administration from forcing Christian doctors to perform sex-change surgeries.
The ruling, by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, will also protect Christian doctors and religious hospitals from being forced to perform abortions in violation of their own judgment.
The appeals court agreed with a district court’s opinion that the Obamacare mandate that requires the facilitation of sex changes posed “irreparable harm” to the plaintiffs’ “exercise of religion.”
The court ultimately found the transgender mandate unlawful and granted a coalition of Catholic healthcare professionals a permanent injunction.
They will no longer face multimillion-dollar lawsuits for refusing to perform the procedures.

The Biden administration is now going full on down the path of pedophilia. That is the entire goal. The sexual reassignment surgeries for children are about one thing only: Grooming them for early sex toys for old perverts. The people of this country should be appalled that pedophilia is the #1 goal of the Democrats. For them to sit back in silence makes them guilty of this same illegal act. We as a people should be marching in the streets against this!!

I think it’s conceding too much to base a right to refuse on religious faith.
Like, what about a surgeon who refuses because he recognizes and accepts reality?
If that surgeon is not protected, no one is safe.
I am trying to imagine what kind of surgery you would get, of any kind, from a surgeon forced to perform it. I would think a staple gun would work well enough for closing, for instance.
Could be trying to depopulate. I know the Left now tells us women who want to have children are no longer mothers, they are birthing persons or breeding persons as if to humiliate their decision to become mothers and raise children. I am thinking the next LW propaganda thing will be to euthanize children who don’t look right or act right, you know, boys who play with trucks and girls who play with dolls. We can’t have that kind of “unlawful behavior!”

The fact is that very few Christian doctors would have been trained or have the requisite experience in sex change operations or abortions.
Reality is a theological construct. Even if the doctor is an atheist, who adamantly denies the existence of a deity, he still believes that reality is objectively provable, and thus a person with a penis is a man, and a person with a vagina and mammary glands is a woman. And woke-ist deconstructionists believe that reality is a matter of opinion, and everyone has their own, personal truth. So if you were born with a vagina and feel like identifying as a man, well, damn! You have to have those mammaries and other indoor plumbing stuff removed, and a bit of bicep somehow made into a facsimile of a penis, even without the prostate gland, testes, and other stuff that men are both blessed and cursed with. You feel manly, so you’re a man. And the same the other way.
You can charge on in with a chain-saw shouting a rebel yell, and saying “Another one! I can’t f@#$in’ wait!” One more rebel yell, cycle the chainsaw and wave it around the waiting room, and the putative patient is out the door.

If SCOTUS says you can, the only thing left is civil disobedience (satyagraha). If the founders of your faith were willing to be eaten by lions, what can a medical board do?

While reading, I thought, "Man these guys have researched this thing to death."
But you know what? It is all just waste and vanity. A reasonably bright fifth-grade child who had read the Bill of Rights would have simply known that the intrusion of the federal government into the lives of the plaintiffs was outrageously wrong.
Not to mention that the notion of having permanent altering surgery on one's body to pretend to alter its gender was the conspired act of a set of confirmed satanists upon a crazy person.

I suppose so. You guys got et by lions way back when. We got burnt at the stake sometimes. Stubbornness is a prerequisite of any serious faith. So at the point where SCOTUS says you’re going to be forced to violate your faith, the rubber meets the road.
Good, but the decrepit old fool will keep trying until healthcare is 100% under the control of the government. It’s moving rapidly in that direction, and the contrived covid crisis helped push it there.
When the government requires a doctor to perform a procedure, the doctor is working for the government. Sorry, but playing with words won’t make it otherwise.
