Germany's Interior Minister Nancy Faeser told German newspaper Bild am Sontag on Sunday that the government had plans to tighten its gun laws, in response to the discovery of a suspected far-right plot to violently overthrow the state.
The plot was uncovered in the past days, with conspirators planning to install Heinrich XIII Prince Reuss as national leader.
Authorities have listed more than 50 suspects in the anti-government plot, which was connected to the Reichsbürger movement.
The group reject the German legal and political system, with most of its members propagating the re-establishment of the German empire founded in 1871.
"We need all authorities to exert maximum pressure" to remove their weapons, Faeser was quoted as saying, which was why the government would "shortly further tighten gun laws."
Although citizens in Germany can own guns, the country has some of the strictest gun laws in Europe. Private possession of firearms is rare.
Authorities had already confiscated weapons from more than 1,000 Reichsbürger members before the raids, but another 500 are still believed to hold gun licenses.

They have the strictest gun control laws in Europe, but they want to tighten them even further.
I suspect civilian possession of all forms of metal will be outlawed soon.

Currently it’s a ‘privilege’ to own up to two guns in Germany...a privilege that can be easily revoked for most any reason.
So, what are they going to do now? Reduce it to one?
Germans know all about having a pre-arranged pretext to push through unnecessary new laws.
Now I get it.
49 of whom were on the payroll of the secret police. And one guy wanted to restore the German monarchy.
Big threat. Major threat. Huge.
It sounds like the Germans took lessons from the FBIs phony cases (Whitmer and January 6) to justify some new form of oppression of their people, particularly those who don’t like the fact that Germany is being overrun with “refugees” and those who oppose involvement in Ukraine.
Seems a tad suspicious.

And if not entirely fake, then certainly hugely trumped up for the above reason.
Are you sure? I hear it's practically impossible to get a gun permit in Britain.
So many European countries lean to the left, it's hard to say which is the strictest on gun laws.
They would just need to find someone to serve as emperor, with an appropriately lengthy name, since Friedrich Wilhelm Ferdinand Joseph Maria Manuel Georg Meinrad Fidelis Benedikt Michael Hubert Fürst von Hohenzollern died in 2010...

.........German liberals lock some guys up that don’t agree with Liberals politics and American liberals lock up J6 guys and gals with no bail for years who in some/most cases did absolutely nothing other than not agree with American Liberal politics.
Then, high German officials, like American officials, call LOUDLY for gun confiscation. I sometimes wonder if German Liberals in the German government and American Liberals in our government have a “hotline” between them as they seem to parrot each other almost daily.
The only thing the German Government is behind the American government on is MURDER.
We have all seen a video of a woman (Ashli Babbitt) just standing there being shot dead (murdered) by our Capitol Police who then proceed to cover it up and later reward the killer all under the auspices of the Democrat Party.
Arguably, Western governments today are as dangerous, unpredictable, unreliable and scary to their people as Chinese, Russian and Iranian governments.
Disarm the citizenry, and you disarm all possibilities of revolt.
It’s the same exact thing that democrats in the U.S. have been after since forever.
Democrats are not worried about crimes being committed with guns, for if they were, they would have been a lot more active in solving crime in blue cities and blue states.
Democrats are after taking away the 2nd amendment privileges that help keep Americans free. Democrats will be closely watching what happens in Germany.
