How did Filthydelphia get a white cuck for mayor? I thought only Negroes were allowed to be mayor.

Why not rename the plaza while they’re trying to scrub history? Marconi was an aristocrat and a staunch fascist.

In 2020, when Columbus statues were toppled in other cities, Philadelphians went out and guarded their statue.
Then they filed a civil rights lawsuit against Mayor Kenney, but that lawsuit was tossed out by a judge.
Now, this judge has made the right decision on the statue.

I grew up in this neighborhood in South Philly and used to play in this park daily for years as a little kid. The Columbus statue was a fixture. My grandfather used to play in a bocce league in the park (still part of Marconi Plaza) on the other side of Broad Street as well. The only people who should have a say in what happens to this statue are the people who live in this district and pay taxes there, not the outside, far-left agitators who swarmed into the neighborhood to attempt to tear it down.
It is clear that the residents want the statue there, so the media did all they could to portray the people in the neighborhood defending the statue as the problem. The leftist mob that showed up to tear the statue down in 2020 were portrayed as "peaceful protestors" who were just looking "have their voices heard".
If you don't like the statue of Columbus, then don't look at it or stay out of the neighborhood. The statue of Columbus should be given at least as much as deference as the statues of fentanyl floyd that were put around the country.
