Everything comes down to sex for these people. They want to go to foreign countries and still engage in any depraved act they want despite local customs

Does cohabitation include sharing a hotel room with a girlfriend or coworker even if there is no sex?

The laws will apply not just to residents but also to foreign expats and tourists in the country -- raising concerns from experts.

"Experts."

I wonder how one qualifies to be an "expert" in the effects of legally-enforced Muslim morality on hedonism-based tourism in third world countries.

The source articles do not make it clear whether tourists in a room would be treated as “cohabiting” in the same way an unmarried Indonesian couple sharing a residence would be.

Abelard and Heloise would heartily agree.

And the problem is?

Guessing there are more than a few Ph.D. students, researching away here in the US on that topic.

There’s a reason that Indonesia will be around in 50 years, while the West, as we know it, will not be, and this article points right to that reason.

Indonesia is 87% Muslim.

It was only a matter of time before they became serious about Sharia law.

Well, they allow alcohol on the beaches now. Just no glass. Besides, everyone has a binocular flask anyways.

The obvious learning experience would be living in a country with both resort tourism and Sharia law.

It was only a matter of time before they became serious about Sharia law.

They were lax about it. But no more. This will destroy the tourist industry in Bali. Westerners will flock to Thailand instead.

No, they don’t hang you. They execute you by firing squad on a small island just south of Java. Execution by hanging is done in Malaysia and in Singapore.

Indonesia, like Singapore, hangs drug “traffickers”. And “trafficker” is defined as being in possession of more than “X” grams of certain drugs. >>>>>>>

Yes, but the police are eminently bribe-able, giving rise to an anti commercial sex move by the fundamentalist Muslim wing of government.

They do not want foreigners dinging their women .
