The nation of South Africa is in the G20. Not all of South America is in the G20, only Brazil and Argentina. If I were any of the other countries of South America that are not in the G20 club, I’d object to Biden’s call for the African Union to be inlcuded when it did not also seek the inlcusion of all the countries of South America. And in Asia both the Philippines and Vietnam are left out.
On the other hand, the G20 club stupidly has most of western Europe as members and then additional has the EU as a member on its own. Is that stupid or what???
However, I digress, for if I were the U.S. benevolent dictator the U.S. would be in none of these “economic clubs”. We may have certain economic foreign policy outlooks that are the same or similar with multiple countries, but the conduct of our relations would be one-on-one and not by way of such elitist clubs.
