The other two “independent” members of the Senate vote with Chuck U Schumer *every* motherbleepin’ time! And one of those two will unashamedly tell you that he's a Maoist. This means less than nothing! She'll still be Chuck U's bitch!

They've been kind of a team on many issues. I'll take a wait and see.

Schumer must be fuming.

It would be a hoot if Manchin also “left” the party.

IF… and that’s a big “if” she is making the move now and does NOT caucus with the dems, that puts the GOP at a 50-49 advantage until the newly elected Senate takes office.

Big f’n deal. She’ll still vote with the democrats, just like all of the other “independents.”

Nope...never happen! I’d wager the clothes on my back that Rat Party Headquarters has a dossier on him that’s big enough to give anyone trying to lift it a heart attack.

That’s probably what she is seeking. She is a vote for sale. What will be the price for her vote? The control of the Senate will still be in DemocRat hands as the split will be 50-49-1.

If she voted like a constitutionalist, I would applaud her and urge more senators to join her, but I suspect that this is a power play to see how much the Republicans will offer her for a seat at the GOP table.

If they truly have 3 “independent” senators, how can the DemocRats claim control of the Senate? Wouldn’t the count be 48 DemocRats, 49 Republicans, and 3 independents?

With the Rat nomination somewhat “muddled” due to Xiden’s mental health & Cameltoe’s incompetence\general unlikability. Manchin will continue to play the “angles” to raise his profile for a possible play for the nomination or at least a VP slot. I don’t think he’s his 2024 re-election (He’s 75!) is as high a priority with him right now.

Nothing changes in the Senate except she doesn’t need to worry about being primaried by a Democrat in 2024.
