Arizona Sen. KYRSTEN SINEMA is changing her party affiliation to independent, delivering a jolt to Democrats’ narrow majority and Washington along with it.
“In a 45-minute interview, the first-term senator told POLITICO that she will not caucus with Republicans and suggested that she intends to vote the same way she has for four years in the Senate. ‘Nothing will change about my values or my behavior,’ she said.
“Provided that Sinema sticks to that vow, Democrats will still have a workable Senate majority in the next Congress, though it will not exactly be the neat and tidy 51 seats they assumed. They’re expected to also have the votes to control Senate committees. And Sinema’s move means Sen. JOE MANCHIN (D-W.Va.) — a pivotal swing vote in the 50-50 chamber the past two years — will hold onto some but not all of his outsized influence in the Democratic caucus.”
Why should she?
She’s not impressive.
She will vote with Republicans when she needs to and that will be exactly when Traitor Joe Manchin will need to.
She has just put Manchin in a box he won’t get out of.
Instead of being the only Democrat/communist to vote with the Republicans WHEN THEY ARE CERTAIN TO LOSE ANYWAY, now Manchin will have to vote with the rodents.
None of that will make it easier for him to fool the rubes in West Virginia AGAIN when he quits the Senate to run for governor of West Virginia.

His vote will be just another Democrat/
Kyrsten Sinema is pretty far out there on the left, but I think maybe the Democrats have gone ‘a bridge too far’ for her. She also seems to be one of the few (damned few) that understands who or what, The Constitution says a senator is supposed to represent.
I doubt I could bring myself to pull the lever for her, but I do respect her more than most in Washington and especially her fellow Senators
Angus King is an Independent and Bernie Sanders is a Socialist. Both caucus with the Dems.
Sinema is working on an amnesty deal with Tillis. Could be a strategy to get it passed in the lame duck session.
To simplify the situation, it appears she and Joe Manchin are in control of the US Senate. Nothing is going to happen without their involvement.
Frankly they deserve credit from the bone headed Republicans for saving what remains of Republican relevance.
There are the old-style liberals (not many of them left) that we have some common ground with.
I heard that she was “punished” by Shumer for not going along with things like getting rid of the filibuster, nixxing DC Statehood, abd a few others and that’s why she turned Independent but will still Caucasus with D’s.
A veiled effort to paint in some bipatisanistic slants in future’s more acts of the stolen government.

Smart move on her part. Gives her more clout than Machin. She always has the threat to caucus with Republicans if she doesn’t get her way.
She may also just have insured her reelection in the future.
I do think this is part of her thinking. At one point there was talk of her running for President. Maybe she is ramping that up to challenge Joe or run in his place if he doesn’t.
Same with Gov Ducey and Attny Gen Brnovich. At the Az election certification, Bronovich looked really beat down and his voice was very strained.
He seemed to deny that he and Ducey were approving the election certification.
He sounded almost scared.
He has good reason to be, too.
I don't think anyone in their wildest dreams even expected Elon Musk's sudden take over of twitter, much less his exposing of all the very damaging e mails documenting the collusion between twitter and Az Democrat and Republican to suppress and destroy Kari Lake and to prop up Katie Hobb’s.
We all know what happened in the 2020 and 2022 elections. We even know about the conflicts of interest and misconduct - we just did not have the hard evidence to break through the media stone wall that kept us from piercing the crooks veil of plausible deniability that they used to keep us from connecting the dots to build a court case to prove conspiracy to commit voter fraud in a court of law rigged against us.
With all of the documentation and evidence, it's going to much more difficult forthe courts to give Kari Lake the same “no standing” shuck and jive shell game that they gave Trump in 2020. . Sinema is hedging her bets for re election in 2024 and trying to position herself as the new John McCain style spoiler in the Senate. Her strategy will probably be to elevate he national name recognition by becoming the key player in key legislation build name recognition and to try to straddle the fence and get re elected with a coalition of Democrat and Republican voters in 2024 . All while hedging a full on jump to the Republican party if she needs to.
If we had fair, honest elections then there would be no way for her to win her next election with a Dem, a Repub, and her as an Independent on the ballot. It would split the Dem vote in a state that Repubs lag only a point or 2 behind (supposedly), but they’ve got those magical mail-in ballots and voting machines, and ballot harvesters.
With the Democrats that have an (R) by their name, the Democrats really have a supermajority on so many issues.
If the Turtle was interested in Republicans keeping 50 members of the Senate, then he would be offering all kinds of deals to that snake, Manchin.
I would bet my house that the Turtle has not even communicated with Manchin.
The republicans in WV have put forth the WORST nominees against Manchin I have ever seen. One guy back in 2010 or 2012 reminded me of Truman Capote, he was so creepy.
And with a state that went overwhelmingly for Trump, you've got to think that the WV republican party deliberately keeps putting forth these terrible candidates.

Doesn’t matter. She’ll vote and caucus with the RATs. She does like attention — like Manchin.
The Conservatives should be going scorched Earth continuously from this point forward against the RINOS and Dems. Ads on any comm device as often as possible showing people who and what these America haters are.
