Early Wednesday, thousands of balaclava-clad German police officers fanned out across the country, arresting 25 people and seizing weapons to upend what authorities described as a diabolical plot to overthrow the country's government and reinstate the monarchy. The group's "military arm" was surreptitiously building "a new German army," the lead prosecutor on the case said.
A day later, however, the case looks more like the script of a Monty Python episode thant a sequel to the Day of the Jackal...

Like this notion of a group set to storm Germany's Parliament and proclaim a government that brings back the Kaiser.
Thousands of police officers to arrest ... 25?! A bit of overkill there.
A cross dressing tranny Kaiser King-queen-prince, thing with many pronouns and a pellet rifle.
That story stinks so much I can easily imagine a NYT “reporter” taking a bodacious Obama in the back room. The Germans obviously are trying the Democrat “we’re so scared” approach.

I think it’s more rank dishonesty than anything like real fear — but it really says something about the Western Powers that they need to proclaim things like Jan 6 or this little German fracas as a serious threat and insurrection. These governments seem very fragile.

There’s a couple of out-of-work royals in Germany - Hohenzollerns, Wittelsbachs, others. They could even borrow some Hapsburgs. They are next door and could use the work.
