Hate to say it but the stories about how the military encouraged straight men for years to have sex and providing “sex tents” for them would naturally lead to this kind of perversion.

Soldiers have been readily banging everything with a skirt for thousands of years. It didn't turn them gay/transgender.

Now I will point out that during a certain War occurring in the last millennium, being the first war with a large population of female military personnel, prostitution did occur in military tents by military members. But, that was severely punished if caught. It certainly was not sanctioned by the military.

Hell, they actually tried to discourage sex with lectures and graphic pictures describing the black clap and how certain body parts can rot and fall off.
