On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “All In,” Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Democrats want to pass an omnibus spending bill to cover government spending for the whole next year so that way, they can “avoid the problem” of a House Republican majority under Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) “having any control” over spending legislation and Democrats are helped in their push for an omnibus spending bill by the fact that “Republican hawks on military stuff realize that if we had a CR, a continuing resolution, that would really hurt our troops, our military readiness, etc.”
Schumer stated, “Well, first, we hope to get an omnibus done, a spending bill for the whole next year, to avoid the problem of McCarthy having any control. We’re working. Obviously, we have to come to a bipartisan agreement. We’re working with them on that regard. There are negotiations going on. And in fact, one of the things that helps us is, even Republican hawks on military stuff realize that if we had a CR, a continuing resolution, that would really hurt our troops, our military readiness, etc. So, we’re pushing hard to get an omnibus bill there.”

If the GOP caves on this the party is dead.

He has 51 Senators now, and doesn't have to worry about sobering up Harris for critical votes.
Schumer thinks Republican control is a “problem”. I hope it becomes a big one for him.

For hard core leftists it’s a “PROBLEM” for voters or the people we elect or anyone other than democrats to have a say in how the country is run.
And that is the crux of the disfunction in Washington today.
Democrats think they own the country and the government and that no one else has any rights at all.
The nation is THEIRS to do with as they please.
That is why they went nuts when Donald Trump won the presidency in 2016.
In their minds he had no right at all to keep Hillary out of THEIR White House.
There will never be a peaceful return to a fair and constitutional government.
Democrats will not allow it.

Of course…just arrest and execute all Republicans…use the final solution…it has been done before…
This is about the Senate neutering the House’s power of the purse.
They resent that the House has that power, and since the House will now be controlled but people other than them, they’re working to mitigate it for a year.
And McConnell & Co. are all for this, because they want the SENATE to control ALL spending decisions, because that’s THEIR body.
This is classic House vs Senate tension.
One thing you can count on is the GOP capitulating.
He has 51 Senators now, and doesn’t have to worry about sobering up Harris for critical votes.
Nor does he have to worry that Harris will show up to vote with the usual knobslobber all over her chin....
If he doesn’t get his way how long before he kills the Filibuster ?
He already knows he owns McConnell and McCarthy. They either are open collaborators or won't stand their ground IMO. A tidal wave of illegal aliens are coming across our non border and will simply submerge any remaining conservative opposition.
