About an hour ago, I had to order a computer part - got to checkout ‘place order’ & it didn’t go through. Second try .... told me to wait, high volume, and had a timer going, then said ‘try again’. It worked that time.
Aren’t amazon employees striking right now?......sounds like a union disruption tactic to me.

Perhaps, but it’s unlikely the engineers that wrote the code and keep it running are unionized and are probably compensated very well.
I spent my career in the IT world, having experienced a number of system emergencies, I would not want to be part of something like Amazon going offline for any length of time, there is likely a lot of finger pointing and accusations being made, or it could be some person not paying attention did something stupid and took down part of Amazon.

Thank God we’ve destroyed Mom and Pop stores and are moving away from cash…
