Senators claim they have a bipartisan immigration reform DEAL - where two million 'Dreamers' would be protected, asylum seekers will be processed quickly and those who don't qualify will be removed

North Carolina Republican Thom Tillis and Arizona Democrat Kyrsten Sinema have reportedly reached a framework deal on immigration reform they would like to push through in the lame duck session before Republicans take the House in January.

The deal would include a pathway to citizenship for two million Dreamers, or DACA recipients who were brought to the U.S. as children, resources to speed up asylum processing and removal of those who do not qualify, more funding for border officers, and a one-year extension of Title 42 until new processing centers are up and running, according to the Washington Post.

The deal concedes the pathway to citizenship and beefed-up due process rights for some immigrants to make Democrats happy and faster removal and strengthened border security for Republicans, though it's not clear if 10 will be on board in the Senate.

The deal would need to make it through both the House and the Senate before the end of December. Come January, Republicans will take the House, and Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, who is running for speaker, has already vowed not to take up immigration reform until he deems the border secure.

Republicans to his right are even less friendly to such a deal.

'This is a terrible deal that should be a non-starter in the House,' Matt Tragesser, communications director to Rep. Andy Biggs, co-chair of the Border Security Caucus, told DailyMail.com. 'Congressman Biggs does not support an amnesty of any kind.'

Per the deal, asylum processing facilities would serve as detention centers and more lawyers would be on hand to defend immigrants. But if migrants fail to establish a 'credible fear' in their initial interview, they would be removed more quickly.

It's also not clear if 50 Democrats in the Senate would even support the bill.

I imagine “those who don’t qualify” have already had a couple “anchor offspring”. They won’t be going anywhere. This is a fraud against the American people by a couple of anti-American RAT bass turds.

I bet “those that don’t qualify will be removed”, will never be enforced.

Once again the GOP gets rolled by the Rats.

Tillis won because he was down ballot from Trump. Trump won NC. Tillis is despised by conservatives in NC.

The Deplorables want a Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement bill, missing since 1986 ONE TIME amnesty. Since that amnesty was granted already, a second amnesty is off the table. What remains is the enforcement the Democrats have disallowed since then.

The List of Comprehensive Immigration Enforcement, missing since 1986 goes like this -
1) southern barrier;
2) require eVerify to hire;
3) end all chain migration;
4) birthright per Minor v. Happersett (plural citizen parents = natural born citizen);
5) end work visas;
6) 40-year moratorium on all new applications for citizenship (to allow workplace automation effects on downsizing population);
7) Set up an illegal aliens’ victim restitution fund from tax on remittances. Use tax on remittances to replenish Social Security account.

Enactment of these provisions will motivate illegal aliens to SELF-deport, and remove colonizadors from our welfare rolls.

But, yet he gets re-elected.

People have to stop being afraid of their state GOP machine and, finally, be willing to give someone else a chance.

IMHO, the biggest reason there aren’t more challengers to guys like Tillis is that a legitimate candidate sees it as a futile endeavor. Why do all the things to try and run, when most of the voters will vote on name recognition, the devil they know, and because the RNC/GOP is pushing the incumbent over the challenger.

Like Graham, Tim Scott, Tillis, and so many more. When the polling starts, let the folks know that they want someone new. These folks don’t hold up to their campaign promises or fight like they said they would, they don’t deserve nor should they be given another chance to lie and do nothing.

Knowing that the incumbent isn’t so safe, could have the effect of more honest folks putting their hat in the ring. Better than what we have now.

Then again, there are quotes that truly do quickly come of age like a fine Beaujolais...

"The goal will be that the Democrats and the MSM will attempt to pin the GOP 118th Congress out of the gate with demands on amnesty.

Haven't heard that word in nearly 6 years, right? You wait and see, starting in less than four months, it will be all amnesty, all the time."

Magically, they will all qualify, so no need to deport anyone.

Border patrol will just be rubber stamps.

They should not be able to pass legislation during lame duck sessions. The worst legislation gets passed at this time.

“and those who don’t qualify will be removed“

That part will never happen.
