We need to worry if they stop f’g with Trump. That will mean they think he is irrelevent and no longer scared to death of him.

Tax fraud?

What, do they think Trump does his taxes in his study or on his kitchen table?

He hires the same accounting firms all the big shots hire.

He’s been audited every year by the tax geniuses at the IRS for as long as he’s been in business.

What was the “fraud”, other than this idiotic “trial”?

But it may embolden other New York prosecutors to go after him.

The author is a master of the understatement.

The state may force a dissolution of the Trump Organization in NY, AKA the corporate death penalty. They can also permanently bar any of his companies from doing business in the state.

Move the corporation out of New York, that city has become the armpit of the world.

“Notice where they bury the “Trump has no criminal liability in this case””

Yep. Buried between the first and third sentences!

> I find it unbelievable that Trump or his accountants and lawyers would commit tax fraud. <

I don’t know anything about this particular case. But the tax code is so complicated and arbitrary that I suppose an auditor could find fault with any return.

I recall reading about a test some guy did a number of years ago. He sent a business’s tax documents to five different professional tax preparers. He got back five different suggested returns, ranging from the business owing a lot of money to the business getting a big refund.

Wait a minute, isn’t trump also traveling around the country and raising money? Certainly nothing is prohibiting him doing that

How will they move the Trump Tower, Trump Plaza Hotel, the Rockefeller Skating Rink or even 42 Wall Street (beautiful lobby), out of New York. These, and other projects, are enduring monuments to what Donald Trump did for that city when everyone had given up hope of that city, and it looked and smelled like a backed up toilet, sort of like it does right now. The decay and filth will one day be gone. And Trump’s buildings will still be there, taunting these ingrates with their beauty and power. But even if it does not come to pass, real estate is not portable.

I bet the total I.Q. of the jury was less than 100.

Much less, if you don't include the benches.

Lock the doors and just pay the property tax.

Agree or disagree with the Verdict, but this amounts to a modern day corporate death sentence.

IDK how it works today in NY, but when I was picked on a jury in Illinois, either prosecutor or defense lawyers could deny any person being considered to be on jury. But in places like DC & NYC the pool of un-biased people is extremely limited, so the outcome is pre-determined.

The fine will be 1.92 million dollars which is pocket change to the Trump Organization.
What no business can survive is being seen as a felonious criminal enterprise.
No one will make loans.
No on will partner with them.
Corporate Death Sentence.
