I’m not sure the black vote is relevant for either side.

I’m not sure the black vote is relevant for either side. They turned Atlanta, Detroit, Philly, Phoenix, and that handed it to Biden.

It’s kabuki theater. New Hampshire has a law that requires them to be the first primary. I’m not sure about Iowa. Elections are a state issue.

no, and actually there is not much the DNC or RNC can do to enforce this “change” since its not really up to them, but to each state.

Can we please stop using the euphemism “racially diverse” when we all know that it means “non-white.”

As I recall, the top vote getter in the 1976 Iowa caucuses, was “uncomitted”.
Remember, that the Iowa caucuses are set up to elect delegates to the convention that summer. In a crowded field, Iowa Democrats first choice was to elect uncommitted delegates to their convention, rather than delegates pledged to a specific candidate.
The 2nd choice was a fellow named Jimmy Carter. As the “winner” among actual human beings, Carter got all the momentum and news media coverage as the “winner” of the caucuses.

LOL!
Now that we have engineered "elections", these political articles are a waste of time to even glance at.

As I recall, the top vote getter in the 1976 Iowa caucuses, was “uncommitted”. Correct. The strategy of voting "UNCOMMITTED" for leverage at the convention has all but disappeared. So to has the practice of running "Favorite Son" candidates who had no intention to truly stand for nomination, but to use the bloc of delegates for influence on behalf of the state or an interest.
Here's an example from the Illinois ballor in 1976:

This move gives Joe a bump at the start.
If Joe doesn’t run…this kills Mayor Pete.
