Kind-of good news regarding Daniel Shaver’s widow. Too bad the people of Mesa are the ones that will actually pay. Philip Brailsford is still a free man, walking around without a care in the world.

An appropriate settlement would be the $ plus the shooter indentured to Shaver’s wife for the rest of his life as a slave after being made into a eunuch

“How many FReepers still believe this was a good shoot by police?”

Worst one I ever saw. You would have to be mentally deficient to see Shaver as a threat. Yes, the drunk guy reached down to pull his shorts up. It was obvious that’s what he was doing. Nothing, nothing justified shooting this guy five or six times.

File for bankruptcy in 2019.

I felt Az. was a good state to retire but now it seems the Judicial system, Law enforcement system and electoral system is nothing but criminal and very corrupt. I wouldn’t let my dog go there.

Jury was probably threatened, and we know the police and “judges” protect each other.

The cop was allowed to retire with medical benefits and a disability pension of $2569/month for the rest of his life. What is his disability? PTSD. He claimed that killing Shaver gave him PTSD:

So, he killed Mr. Shaver, and now he sits back and collects.

Because he was tried and found not guilty

He was overcharged. That's why he got off.

I hope murderer Philip Brailsford, and nobody should ever forget his name, spends the rest of his short and sad life looking over his shoulder.

"In 2017, a jury acquitted Brailsford of second-degree murder and reckless manslaughter. This is because juries are instructed to judge officers not by how a normal civilian would respond, but by how a reasonable police officer is trained to respond to a threat, real or imagined. As Reason's Jacob Sullum wrote, the acquittal showed that cops on trial benefit from a double standard: "Unlike ordinary citizens, they can kill with impunity as long as they say they were afraid, whether or not their fear was justified."

AZ had a rat SOS with a rino Governor and AG so now it’s gone. Lake won which means most in AZ are good people but it was stolen. Now the rats have the Governor, AG and SOS. Now they weld the door shut and become East CA. A shame, l spent a lot of time there and l will miss it.
