Few things are stunning these days, but it was alarming to learn of the the autism link in the drastic increase in transgenderism.
As the mother of a young adult son with autism (high functioning), I had no idea what autism could possibly have with wanting to "become" (or think one has become) the opposite gender.
The vulnerabilities of people with autism that place them at great risk of being considered for "gender reassignment surgery" include "otherness," feeling different -- that they don't quite fit in -- not understanding social cues and not quite connecting with people, feeling less empathy. All make them different. As with many teenagers, those with autism often seek affirmation, identity, and attention, and changing one's entire "identity" is now a popular way to obtain it.

This article fits someone in my orbit to a t. The person has really poor social skills and boundary issues. Others suspect autism. I happen to know the person is getting treatment by Planned Parenthood and anyone who has dealt with child abuse/neglect victims can see the signs trauma-based arrested development within a typical ten minute conversation.
There is a lot that could be done for this person and instead the great promise of artificial hormones and possibly some surgery is the believed promise.
It’s really hard to keep the hate out of one’s heart these days, isn’t it?
Having worked in mental health (non-professional; I was an office lackey) I have witnessed people with mental health issues / autism / developmental delay being “turned.” I started to form the opinion that a lot of folks who end up treating others for these problems are exploiters.
Also, a great many of them - I would say the majority - are flaming liberals. They “turn” their clients as vengeance against normal society. The clients end up being more screwed-up and dysfunctional than they were before, and often end up being estranged from their families, creating more dependence upon the system.

I maintain that most people who go into psychology or psychiatry are:
1) themselves bat-guano crazy
2) seeking in vain to unscrew their own problems
and therefore
3) completely unfit to attempt treating other peoples’ problems
This never could have happened when I went to school in the 1970s. Because a boy wearing a dress to school back then would have gotten harrassed and beaten up constantly, not to mention getting totally shunned by the girls, who would have nothing to do with him. Nowadays, that same behavior is celebrated and even encouraged.
That explains more than anything the sudden rise in children claiming to be "transgender." It is socially acceptable and rewarded. Many children will do just about anything to gain acceptance from their peers.
That is what makes adult grooming of these vulnerable children all the more despicable.
This could create quite the conundrum for leftists who think “autism-gene” babies should be killed before birth.

Oh, boy, an easy and lucrative fix!
We are not to judge the condition of people’s souls Bernard Nathanson and others have converted from the peo-abortion position, so these trans-pushing people may also be converted. I swa that a couple of transgender genital-mutilating surgeons are having concerns, so this tide may turn, as it most certainly will when the lawsuits start coming!
In the meantime, the actions all along the way, the grooming, the prescribing, the surgeries. The laws which support all this, ... I have no words to describe the depth of this evil.
As I mentioned before, this could never happen when I went to school because any boy going that path would be ostracized and laughed right out of school. Now it is the complete opposite due to the way society encourages and celebrates transgenderism.
How many of us as little boys thought that the girls had it much easier. How many little girls thought that boys had it much easier? Now society is giving them an option, before they even reach maturity, to find out and that is just wrong on so many levels. Not to mention that making the necessary hormonal changes to one's body to accomodate a gender change are mostly irreversible and usually result in forfeiting your ability to reproduce later on in a normal heterosexual relationship.
The downsides are never mentioned to these kids who are being told how "cool" it is to gender transition.
Peer pressure is a very powerful thing that us older people tend to underestimate. We are going to see a lot more of this behaviour until the responsible adults in this world rise up and put this nonsense down.
It has come to my attention that often times young people chose career paths based upon experience. A fireman saves the life a boy’s mother, so the boy becomes a fireman. A lawyer helps a girl avoid conviction for shoplifting, prompting her to study law.
What does this phenomenon tell us about those folks who enter the mental health field?

Two hours via Zoom before a douvle mastectomy! She should sue for more!
Scott Newsome, whose surgery was completely botched, says he is unable to sue in his state because it was considered experimental surgery.
For the past year or so I have been saying they target schizophrenics, the depressed and now we see the autists. I am not surprised.
In the German red light district I was horrified to see that the nasty Albanian pimps had dressed trisomics as women and were parading them and exploiting them.
