I’m not going into details for obvious reasons ... but I can think of MANY ways to attack the electrical grid and the cell-phone system using a centerfire rifle. The greenies and their handlers in the Ruling Class could make this very ugly.

I was 35 years in the industry. A lot of my time was dealing with system reliability assessment and planning. The most critical part of the electrical grid are the substations, particularly those on the bulk transmission system (138kV and above). That equipment, particularly transformers, is made to order and not normally on someone’s shelf. Lead times for such equipment is in multiples of months. I always felt that hardening substations against the random drive-by or intentional shooting was relatively inexpensive and easily done.
So they shoot substations instead of just cutting the SE cable?

Three times this past week my power “blinked” which doesn’t happen very often so that many times in a week caused me some suspicion of why it’s happening. Although it comes right back on it’s enough lapse I have to re-boot my computer and re-adjust timers etc.
It's surprising vandals and arsonists haven't expanded into using quadcopters. Most outdoor things currently have zero protection against them. The cheap Chinese toys can easily go where vandals have not gone before.
What an evil thing to do. I hope the state throws the whole book at the people who did this and that there are security tapes showing them or at least their vehicles.

You guys have had some windy weather in your neck of the woods, though, recently.
Ours flickers pretty regularly in windy conditions. NH loves it’s trees and there are lots of them and lots of opportunities for them to take out electrical lines.
