Hunter Biden’s past employer, law firm Boies Schiller Flexner, received $10 million in forgiven pandemic loans from the federal government — while donating nearly $1 million to Democratic candidates, an independent investigation has found.

Of 300 top law firms investigated by transparency nonprofit Open the Books, Boies took the single-biggest loan, $10.14 million, from the Paycheck Protection Program, established by the Trump administration in 2020 to help mom-and-pop businesses survive the pandemic. The loan was forgiven in 2021.

Meanwhile, the firm — headed by longtime Joe Biden donor David Boies — billed $480 million to clients in 2020 and 2021, and equity partners each earned $4.5 million.

Sure, suspect, but diversionary small potatoes compared to the massive sellouts to China, etc.

Boies is a well known Dem lawyer. I think he goes back to the Clinton yeas.

I think American Government has been spectacularly corrupt for a very long time.

The FedGov has the largest money-river flowing through it in the world. It follows that his would draw the most and most talented crooks the world has to offer. FedGov is likely the most corrupt entity the world has ever seen. They have stopped trying to hide it though, which is troubling.

Yep, money draws crooks like fish guts draw seagulls.

10 million in taxpayer money in exchange for one million in ‘campaign’ contributions sounds to me like a real good return on investment (ROI).
I sorta kinda doubt that kind of roi is available outside fo banana republics. But it is possible.

I guess this means “10% for the big guy” refers to a thing and not a person? 🤔

Our tax dollars at work! Who knew that wealthy lawyers and politicians needed millions of dollars from hard working Americans so that they could get through COVID in the mansions in the Hamptons.

But I think Ukraine beats them on percentage to “democRATs”.

Not even close. Most of the aid to Ukraine is spent with American defense contractors.

At least that money goes to people doing useful work. The most recent HIMARS contract is about $430 million, and the money goes to Americans in factories around the country.

Ten million dollars to a bunch of rich lawyers of which 1 million came back to politicians is something the taxpayers should not be funding.

Who do Defense Contractors make campaign contributions to? Whose children do they hire for “publicity” jobs?

I was thinking it was a good idea for small mom and pop business

It was, just as Trump's plan to give $1000 to every worker whose paycheck was effected by the lock downs....then the POLITICIANS, both R and D, got hold of it and started buying votes.
