President Joe Biden hosted his first official state dinner on Thursday, entertaining his French counterpart, President Emmanuel Macron, at the White House.
Presumed incoming Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy joined the left-wing glitterati in welcoming France’s leader to Washington.

Since the GOP has only a four vote margin, 5 votes could throw the speakership to the Dems… in which case the careers of those who voted against McCarthy are toast.
So there’s only 1 guy out of 200 that can do the job? If that’s the case they don’t deserve it.

There is only one guy out of more than 200 who has almost enough support to get it. The five who have sworn they will not vote for him have no alternative candidate who has more than 5 votes.

This is a Biased headline. He didn’t get anywhere near Hunter and he was just there in respect for the French leader.

If anyone believes Mitch McCarthy is the leader needed for this moment in history, they are insane.

What was McCarthy supposed to do? Refuse to go? Protest outside holding signs?
Democrats leaders go to state dinners of Republican Presidents and vice versa. What they personally think of each other has no bearing on this.
Political decorum required McCarthy's presence and Gaetz knows it.
