Pretty much what I expected. It was the Portland metro area, three counties. In particular, they had an overwhelming majority support, a few other counties that had a slim majority support it, and the rest of the state was overwhelmingly opposed to for the most part. Just like in all the states, weather, Oregon, New York, etc.

Oregon Measure 111, making health care a right, passed (50.7%)

Measure 112 The so-called unintended consequences of this one were the goal, in my estimation.

Measure 113 When Democrat legislators left the State to deny Republicans a quorum, it was hunky-dory. When Republicans did the same thing, all hell broke loose. With Democrats in solid control, this attempts to remove from future elections those that use this tactic.

Oregon’s Initiative Referendum petitions allow for bringing these issues to a direct vote of the people. Democracy, or mob rule? Take your pick. Clever rhetoric and outside money fool a lot of Oregonians. It’s how marijuana was legalized.

I’ll bet you could do a man-on-the-street interview and find very few people that even know that Oregon is supposed to have biennial legislative sessions. By hook, or by crook, they are now annual.

So? That’s supposed to be legislated, I presume. Then, the fee process is supposed to fund it. Because you know the FFL dealers and the State Police, who do the background checks and maintain the database are going to enforce it.

“So? “

I just saw the headline in a local paper, but didn’t read the article.

A lot of you are more informed on this issue than I am.
I just vote no on anti second amendment ballot measures & support pro 2nd Amendment candidates for public office.

California is prosecuting a gun user for shooting an armed robber in his store.

California has become the enemy of America

It’s nice that some elected law enforcement side with the Constitution, but it’s not enough. There’s a place I like to shoot, out in the dunes. No telling what type of law enforcement may show up there, if called...county. State. or Federal. I don’t care to roll the dice on which magazines I might have at the time.

“I don’t care to roll the dice on which magazines I might have at the time.”

Neither do I.

For now, I’ll only shoot at my friend’s private firing range.

There is one “diverse” neighborhood in North East Portland responsible for nearly all Oregon violent crime. Multnomah County jail stopped publishing mugshots online to hide the diversity of violent crime in Oregon.
