The story in AP, written by the untalented and very unreliable Jill Colvin, who I unfortunately got to know at the White House, is Fake News. We have very strong security, especially with the extremely talented Secret Service Agents on premises, but when I know someone, as I did Ye, we’re not going to have my guests strip searched, thrown against walls, and otherwise physically beaten. The anonymous sources don’t exist. Stories to the contrary are FAKE NEWS!

Maybe Trump is starting to realize that his (lack of) judgement about people (too many examples to list) hurt him, as I read he’s put a vetting process in place. Kanye West released an album in 2019 of Christian rap with songs like Jesus Saves. It’s still up on Amazon Prime music streaming. (I just checked.) Maybe this is what confused Trump and his staff. I remember at the time that it seemed that Kanye was breaking with the hedonists in Hollywood and becoming a Christian conservative.

I keep hearing that "Trump was set up" and that it was a "plan" to think him down. But I've yet to see any evidence. All I see is speculation.
I think Ye and Fuentes were sincere. For Ye to engage in such a "plan to take down Trump," he must be aware that his statements are crazy. Yet I think he sincerely believes that he's talking sense. So why would he imagine that "talking sense" to Trump can harm him?
