The freshly-militarized Internal Revenue Service will now predictably be used by the Left to target conservatives, and the process has already started.
After adding 87,000 new armed “agents” this past summer, the tax-collecting bureaucracy is poised to target political dissidents and small business owners who are seen to be enemies to the regime.
Now, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, D-R.I., has demanded that tax exemptions be taken away from conservative groups who ignored masking orders and social distancing guidelines during the pandemic, the Daily Signal reported.
The news has broken amidst the recovery of a 176-page document containing correspondence between Whitehouse and the IRS.
According to Tom Jones, president and founder of the American Accountability Foundation, this constitutes a clear example of a politicized IRS being used as a political bludgeon.
“It’s abundantly clear that [Whitehouse] is trying to take the 87,000 new IRS agents and put them to work investigating me and my friends because he doesn’t like their politics,” he said earlier this week.
“It’s Lois Lerner on steroids,” Jones said of what’s in the Whitehouse correspondence, alluding to the Obama-era IRS targeting Tea Party groups with tax exempt status.
“The Lois Lerner stuff was a mid-level bureaucrat abusing [her] power to investigate conservative groups,” he said. “This is a U.S. senator basically trying to turn the heat up on investigations by the Internal Revenue Service.”
Jones noted, however, that the Lerner situation was light stuff compared to what lies ahead.
“So, if Sheldon Whitehouse had his way, Lois Lerner would just look like a test run of what Sheldon Whitehouse has in mind,” Jones said,
Among those targeted by Whitehouse include Turning Point USA.
The IRS bloating took place in the wake of the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act,” an attempt by the Left last summer to save Biden and the Democrats from midterm obliteration, while handing out prizes to their friends.

Correct. I lived there for many years and believe me, it is beyond repair. A one-party state for at least 80 years governed by scumbag political families, Old Money limousine leftists and other assorted dreck who hand out jobs to whatever inbred retards they're related to, went to "school" with or do side "deals" with.
Then, of course there's the hyper-obnoxious, hardcore leftist Brown and Rhode Island School Of Design trustafarian set, which holds serious political clout of the magenta/green/purple-haired, screeching, screaming protesting type. One of the happiest days of my life was the day I left there knowing I would never live there again. It was a glorious feeling knowing I'd never return to that dead dog of a state!

We had several guys from wealthy families in my unit. Most of the others were NOT jerks. They drove cars with weird names and partied just like the rest of us. One went AWOL and was living in an apartment in NYC when the FBI arrested him.
Others were just regular guys.
One guy was from Georgetown, MD, right next to DC. He spoke with a heavy Hahvahd accent that sounded like Major Charles Emerson Winchester III on M*A*S*H. But he was an okay guy..........

It is about time our Federal Govt. lives on a budget that also reduces “OUR DEBT. “ This spend and spend BS will only trash us more and more. Get all jobs back to America. We can be totally independent, like this great nation was. Why are we letting cheap and even slave labor to reward the commies? What has happened to our values and to those who use and abuse slave like labor?
Oh I agree 100%. I was kind of mixing the cheap places I’d spend part of the year in and places I’d like to visit (knowing some would be very expensive). I’d love to live in Italy but that’s one of the most expensive countries in Europe to live.
