Dr. Eric Fleegler of Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the authors of a study looking at firearm-related deaths in the United States, observed that it took coronavirus just a “couple of years” to kill as many people as died in firearm-related incidents over the past three decades.
The study, published on the JAMA Network, found 1,110,421 people intentionally or accidentally died in firearm-related incidents from 1990 to 2021.
The Hill quoted Dr. Fleegler commenting on the number of firearm-arm related deaths. “That is roughly the number of people who have died from COVID in the last couple of years,” he observed.
The Hill noted, “In 2020 and 2021 there was a 25 percent increase in firearm deaths in the United States.”
Fleegler believes that job losses, economic turmoil, and other outgrowths of the pandemic may have contributed to the sharp two-year increase in firearm-related deaths.

Was there a failure to include those at most risk? You know, the vaxxed and boostered folks?

We should shoot people that get Covid.
In that same time-frame, how many people in the United States died from the flu? From cancer? From kidney failure?
How many pool drownings worth of deaths did COVID cause?

Also, the death rate from COVID is complete BS. I suspect it’s half of the number they claim.
A missed opportunity. A couple of years ago, those shooting deaths would have been tagged as "death by COVID".
Add to that the hospitals padding the numbers declaring every death was from the China Virus.
In major wars, disease usually kills more than the weapons.
I would be shocked and amazed if there weren’t a few Chicago shooting deaths attributed to Covid, trauma “with Covid”, etc.
There were all kinds of economic incentives for that.
We could have had more gun laws, and zero Covid.

Even so, you must admit that whenever there is a thread reporting a death on FreeRepublic, a minimum of three of the first five responses will be claims that death was caused by the vaccines.
