I am using Android Motorola g pure phone. Works great, nice big scree but not too big, much cheaper than i-Phones. The battery lasts me nearly a week before needing recharge.

Android=Google. Some of us distrust Alphabet/Google more than we do Apple. I am not saying there is a right answer, but some of us struggle to pick the least wrong answer.

He boned Lockheed, ULA and Boeing in the rocket biz with a vehicle that is without dispute now the world leader.

He boned GM, Ford and all of Japan & Germany with the most successful new motor/fuel technology introduction in 100 years.

His satellite constellation is already doing well in a space that nobody in the telecom biz thought could ever work after the failure of Globalstar and Iridium.

The fading, aging has been operation known as the rotting Apple should be very, very nervous.

There is a difference -- all of the companies other than Apple were competitors. Apple and Elon's Empire are more symbiotic than competitors. I am viewing this as more of a set of preliminary negotiations where rival warlords will publicly hurl insults at each other before privately negotiating a peace where there is less conflict and more profitability for both.

>> Apple has no obligation, moral, ethical or legal to continue advertising on Twitter.

Of course not.
Doesn’t change the fact that the Apple of your eye is an amoral cesspool of woke faggot filth.

Here’s the real message from this:

1. Public debate has moved completely to online, and social media is where about 99.9% of it happens.

2. Since the First Amendment prevents government from interfering with free speech, the job has been outsourced to the Democrat MAGMA (Microsoft, Apple, Google, Meta, and Amazon).

3. As private companies they can censor and do whatever they want without regard to the First Amendment.

4. To encourage and reward them for doing whatever the government asks, the MAGMA coalition is given special treatment, little regulatory oversight, and basically a free hand.

This is what’s going on in China, just as it is in the US. The CCP doesn’t want a certain feature that permits free speech, so it’s partner, Apple, disables it - problem solved. Everyone wins - except the poor forgotten citizen.

It’s a good observation, and I love the symbology!

It may be. It will come down to whether the aloof and hidebound poobahs of the existing “tech” world will find their roots and embrace Elon’s massive appetite for risk. He’s a gambler.

“This is a show of disobedience unprecedented during Chinese premier Xi Jinping’s decade in power. The unrest spans regions and classes – from the exploited workers of Zhengzhou, locked in sprawling factories as they produce half of the world’s iPhones”

Your butt buddy Tim Cook is an exploitative pig. Why do you support him?

I’d wager both Apple and Google (and Xi) have deduced that ultimately Musk is bound to leverage Twitter and Starlink into basically a new version of the Internet (Muskverse?), which will largely or completely exclude Apple and Google (and probably Microsoft). Ultimately they have to kill him but in the meantime I would be surprised if they jump right to the end game and ban the Twitter app, which would only speed up the development of Muskverse.

I don’t believe they could block browser access to Twitter in any case. Twitter is addictive and people would use a sub-optimal browser interface rather than give it up. But on the other hand Apple is essentially a tool of the CCP, and the Chinese masters could decide to sacrifice the whole shooting match if necessary to forestall Muskverse.
