Local gas prices have been decreasing the last 2-3 weeks. Today I noticed one station having it at $2.79/gal. Walmart and others $2.95. It has been a year or more since it was under $3.00.
Food prices are jumping around like crazy. Some items are actually cheaper than a few weeks ago. Other item prices seem to remain constant. Some seem to be increasing exponentially.
The November numbers (out in a week or so) should give a better indicator as to whether the Inflation Reduction Act is doing anything.
The FED has another meeting in 2 weeks and they are expected to increase the rate another 3/4 percent.
It did increase the debt.
Gas is dropping since Thanksgiving is behind us and people won’t be driving to be with family before Christmas. Also people have less money for gas so they are driving less.
Don’t forget all of the 401(k)’s rapidly declining values.
The national average cost of fuel is $3.52 per gallon, down 22.7 cents from a month ago, according to Gas Buddy, continuing a downward trend for the third straight week in a row.
Oh good. It worked so well during the Jimmy Carter years.
Our gas is still $3.50 and food prices are insane.
We’re starving for the sake of our dogs.
