Amid a GOP campaign to pressure county supervisors across Arizona not to certify their elections, two counties have postponed their vote until the eleventh hour, raising questions about what happens if they fail to meet their deadline to finalize results.
There’s a simple answer, according to election attorneys in the state: If counties do not certify their election by the Monday deadline imposed by state law, courts will force them to do so.

Democrats would just leave the country- republicans in Cochise County should do the same
If one is required to vote yes regardless what happened in an election, then what’s the point of taking the vote? Why are you even given the option of a no vote if it isn’t allowed? Unless this is a Soviet style kangaroo court where a mockery is made of the legal system to show the world, he we were legal, we were legal!
This is all a part of the people voted, we don’t like the outcome, so we’re throwing a monkey wrench in the works. Even though there are no problems in their county, Their job is to certify their county’s election as being an accurate representation of the vote in their county. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Only because of these actions by the local board.
Isn’t that threatening and intimidating an election official? Thought that was against the law.Dhrre is the AG?
They’re being asked to certify the vote in their county. Their county has no problems. They’re not certifying because of Maricopa. Their job is not to withhold certification of their county if they believe something hinkey happened in another county.
Where is a John Hancock when you need him?
It’s not virtue signalling, it’s a protest against a stolen election.
That semantical difference aside, what do you suggest? Going hermit and checking out? Going kinetic/L.H. Oswald?
What is your better solution for average Zonies right now?
Go outside and scream? Wear a sandwich board on street corners?
What?
“... they’re trying to threaten/bully those counties into saying everything is hunky dory to keep “the narrative” going.”
The problem is that the counties who are not certifying are not the counties where the problems are alleged to occur. The counties are expected to certify their own county results, not to delay certification as some comment on how they think the election was run in other counties. If they can’t cite some problem that happened in their own county, then they will have to certify. So this tactic was always only going to provide a delay, it would never hold up when it reaches any court.
You have that backwards. brazil has headed into american territory.

None of that accomplishes anything. Until the right learns to protest for real, with actual civil disobedience, and sustained protests, not just over one day or a weekend, then we’ll keep losing. People in Arizona should be making it look like the Summer of 2020 and paralyzing the entire state right now.
Go to the new govs house with all your upside down flags and protest…drag her out and do a Mussolini on her.
50K people doing this might set an actual example to those who steal elections.
All the charades are done by the Maricopa Board of Criminals and future felons.
One more bit of data that we have FAR too many laws on the books.
I think the book “3 Felonies a Day” needs a re-write... We’re probably up to 7-8 at this rate...
Sure…hire a lawyer
Easy peasy for most people with money to burn going up against the govt
...so what do YOU suggest Maricopa Repubs do now that those crooks ignored the steal and already certified?? just rollover and grab ankles again....? ymmv
Now that is true insurrection.
I chalk it up to civil disobedience.
‘tards used to support that, I thought?

It would be a tough decision. That is why I post this so that we think about future decisions we have to make and why.
Freedom is just a word for nothing left to lose. We have already lost things.
Our Founding Fathers bet their future on freedom. will we?
