There has been a large fall in the number of people who consider themselves as Christian, dropping below half the population of England and Wales for the first time.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has released its latest data taken from the 2021 Census, showing the changes since 2011.

Some 46.2% said they were Christian, down from 59.3% in 2011.

ONS data - main points:

• Number of people using Romanian as their main language rose from 0.1% to 0.8% (68,000 to 472,000), which is 2nd to Polish in a list of languages used other than English and Welsh

• 37.2% said they had "no religion" up from 25.2%, but there were increases among those identifying as Muslim (4.9% to 6.5%) and Hindu (1.5% to 1.7%)

• Polish remains most common non-UK identity, Romanian was 2nd (a rise from 16th), Indian remains 3rd, while Irish dropped to 4th (from 2nd).

• Of Londoners, the most ethnically diverse region of England, 36.8% identified as White: English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish or British - down from 44.9%

• 90.3% of the population selected at least one of these identities: British, English, Welsh, Scottish, Northern Irish, or Cornish, down slightly from 92%

• Increase in multi-ethnic households, from 8.7% to 10.1%

To Muslims don't be rude
Living in dhimmitude,
No offense bring.
Gospel preaching is "hate"
Christian faith second rate
The goal of servile state:
Alllah is King.

When Ramadan draws near
We forsake ale and beer
(Can't give offense)
School children can't eat lunch
Can't even candies crunch
Lest Moslems' panties bunch
Dhimmis' nonsense.

Can't stop with solid food
Liquid intake is rude
Don't "water" kids
Let them all dehydrate
Christian faith’s second-rate
Diversity’s ever-great
Alllah is King.

History books made clean
"Holocaust" never seen
Must teach a lie.
Separate but equal?
Not in a British school
What is this new found rule?
"All truth must die."

37.2% said they had “no religion”

“Without God, all things are possible” Fyodor Dostoevsky

I think most people don’t understand what Dostoevsky meant. He wasn’t being anti-god, and certainly wasn’t advocating atheism, he was saying that there was NO limit to the human atrocities that could be committed if people didn’t believe in God. Morality is codified within Religion, and without that horrific things are possible. With no god, and no morals, civilization breaks down leading to isolation and loneliness.

The Marxist ultimate dream come true. Unfortunately most Christians have become little more than eunuchs with little to no resistance to the destruction.

May 12, 2021The U.S. government estimates the total population at 142.3 million (midyear 2020 estimate). A poll conducted in September by the independent Levada Center found that 63 percent of the population identified as Orthodox Christian and 7 percent as Muslim, while 26 percent reported having no religious faith.

When the first English census was done in 1851 the most shocking result was the split was 50/50 between Anglicans and Non-Conformist. Now the split is 50/50 between self-identified Christian and not Christian.

I was in England 20 years ago and it was below 50% then. One thing Americans don’t get about Europeans is that for many of them “Christianity” is a tribal label. It has nothing to do with beliefs.

With no god, and no morals, civilization breaks down leading to isolation and loneliness.

The trouble is that a whole lot of people equate the two: "no god" == "no morals", as a way of inflating their own sense of righteousness.

there was NO limit to the human atrocities that could be committed if people didn’t believe in God.

Take a look around - there is NO limit to the human atrocities that ARE committed if one DOES.

Cultural/social Christians (in name only) did have some value in that even if they weren’t true believers they at least wanted society to incorporate Judeo/Christian values. But it looks like Marxist indoctrination has flipped them to a new ideology.

"Christian" is not the same as, say, Caucasian. The latter is easily identified and defined. "Christian", not so much.

Matt 7:21-23: "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

Most of these "Christian" religions are not Christian. They're manmade and follow the commandments of men.

Matt 15:9: ...... in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Who founded the Methodists? John Wesley. Who founded the Lutherans? Martin Luther. Who founded the Episcopalians? Henry VIII.

Man made. Follow the teachings of man. And we're surprised when they espouse the doctrines of anti Christs?

The "belief" component of the mind will believe in something, even if it professes "nothing," also sometimes said as "no thing."

What will the belief component fill itself with? Belief in religious thought of some form, belief in the state in place of religion, and/or belief in the "self," as if that meant anything.

Belief in the "self" always begins its belief statement with some form of the first person pronoun while using the third person pronoun behind which to hide. Such as, "there is no God" is a belief statement which is founded on "I believe there is no God."

Other forms of state as religion or "science" as religion include the cons of climate change and extinction rebellion which the UK is currently enjoying, as these new "evangelists" and their fervor are simply more energized than the LGBT bishopric currently so fancily costumed.

Christianity's Romans portion of the Bible has been so successfully attacked specifically because Christians have failed to defend. This is why in the moment Marxists and Muslims seem to have the upper hand. It is all about enthusiasm and fervor, even as small amount of each which can triumph over the namby-pamby of "modern" Britain.

Many conservatives that I know belong to the Calvary Chapel--founded by Chuck Smith.

Still hope if the remaining ones are true Bible believers rather than the cultural Christians who are dwindling away from the Anglican denomination. Quality trumps quantity.

--- "Census 2021: Data shows number of Christians in England and Wales falls below half for first time"

An additional tidbit to add to the picture of once-Great Britain.

"The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) is saying that certain Bible verses are 'no longer appropriate' to be read in public in court, News Letter reports. The comment was made in writing during the legal proceedings for a now-dismissed case the CPS brought against street preacher John Dunns over an altercation between the preacher and two lesbians. During the confrontation, the 55-year-old veteran allegedly shouted that the women should “burn in hell” and called one of them a 'devil woman.' Dunns, who was charged under the Public Order Act, denies the allegations."

It is not a far step[ from banning certain kinds of speech to asserting that the Bible is a source of such things. While civility is a good and decent thing, and perhaps that particular preacher over-reached in rhetoric, leaping to the notion that "certain Bible verses are 'no longer appropriate' to be read in public" is the wet dream of every Communist.

“Christianity” is a tribal label

Same with "Jewish". It's an ethnicity, not a belief.
