The United States backs the right of people to peacefully protest in China, the White House said on Monday (Nov 28), but stopped short of criticizing Beijing as protesters in multiple Chinese cities have demonstrated against heavy COVID-19 measures.
Chinese police on Monday tightened security at the sites of weekend protests in Shanghai and Beijing, after crowds there and in other Chinese cities and on dozens of university campuses made a show of civil disobedience unprecedented since leader Xi Jinping assumed power a decade ago.

State Department is obsequious in their statement.
“We are actively working with and assisting our citizens experiencing challenges related to the recent rise of COVID-19 infections in China.”
There are no “challenges” related to “the rise of Covid infections in China.”

Peaceful like BLM riots?
I don’t remember them saying a peep when Trudeau cracked down on the trucker protests in Canada. in fact the Biden admin and Big Tech went all in to crush those protests.

The Obama-bin-Biden admin. backed not-so-peaceful ‘protests’ in the 2014 Ukraine coup.
Other than those things the American government supports peaceful protests.

That is odd. They don’t allow it here. They do allow leftists to have violent protests, however.
