Y’all are warmer than we are right now. It’s about 41 here. I haven’t been outside since feeding the cats, but it feels crisp.
Ugh. Bet you’re happy that the wind has died down. It always gets on my last nerve.
So, I went up to the KFC store and checked and they did receive the order. It took about 30-35 minutes but I got it and it was fresh too.
After our supper I went to Facebook and messaged KFC and asked them if they could fix this problem with ordering on their website. As of this writing I haven't heard back from them. Hopefully they'll fix it soon.
But yes, we did go to Comanche Lake and we had a great time out there yesterday. Here are the pics from the visit.
I have been thinking about the temps, but the downstairs has its new thermostat and is staying at 65. Should be good. I’m kicking myself for not asking the repair guy to put a new one upstairs as they are the same age. I thought about it, but didn’t ask. Mistake.
I think I will call and get on the list for when he can do that. When I called about the downstairs she said it was 6 - 8 weeks. She fitted me in as he had another project somewhere near my neighborhood.
One less issue to deal with.
It’s still cloudy here and that’s keeping the temps from falling much. We aren’t that much warmer than you are and if the clouds move out, we’ll join you around the 40 mark.
The wind didn’t bother me much. It was robust but not scary strong. I didn’t go anywhere so didn’t have to deal with it.
After I finish here, I’m heading out to go to bed. I have to get up a little early for an appointment to deal with making Hubby’s arrangements.
Hope you have a good day tomorrow.
You had a much prettier day yesterday. Look at that blue sky.
I wouldn’t get my hopes up on KFC making changes. They probably have enough to deal with doing each day’s orders.
You were lucky your thermostat went out when it did, even though it was a pain. At your current temps, it would be almost impossible to keep downstairs warm enough without running the space heater non-stop.
I hope someone can show up soon to replace the other thermostat before it conks out. Maybe there’ll be another job close by and they can zip by your place to swap it out.
Me, too...but at least it hasn’t given up the ghost yet. More space heaters if I have to...what a bill!
Wishing you the best, and may all your appointments/arrangements go smoothly. ((HUGS))
Glad you didn’t have to get out in the windy afternoon. I’ll be thinking of you tomorrow.
And now....I’m going to head out. I’m really sleepy after a whole week of early rising. It’s not good for me.
Plus my left knee went wonky on me about an hour ago and I went down on both of them and it’s kind of painful to walk. So silly. I sure hope some ibuprofen will settle things down. See ya tomorrow.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...I see a happy dog who enjoyed his adventures at Comanche Lake.
Looks like it took some doing to get your supper order done. Glad it finally turned out ok.
The company gave us online gift cards...now I have to figure out how to use it. It says I have to put an app on my phone. This should be fun...NOT!
You guys have a wonderful Monday.
You worked in the BARTCC? So did I. I worked their 84-86, then was Tempelhof Chief Controller from 86 until I left in 88. What years were you there?
I was actually in Wiesbaden. I was TDY to Berlin once in 81 and 82. In 84, I was the assistant chief of Travis tower. I need to freep mail for more.
Arrangements made and it all went smoothly. A good friend went with me and her presence helped a lot.
I hope your knee’s much better today, luvie.
Glad there were no glitches. This is not the time for it. It’s always a good thing to have a friend along for support and help. Glad she could make it.
My knee isn’t better. I keep thinking it is, and then it fails again and I can’t put weight on it at all. Hobbling is what I’m doing. I cancelled my dr. appt, because I don’t want to risk the walk to the clinic. I can always reschedule when I’m better. Taking the anti-inflammatory that the doc gave me for my sore ribs, and I hope it helps. What a wuss I am. LOL!
I didn’t expect any glitches and there were none. Having my friend with me helped me hold it together.
You NEED to have that knee looked at. You don’t know what kind of damage was done and you shouldn’t be walking on it at all. Do you have any crutches to use when you HAVE to get up to do something?
I think I will do that tomorrow. I’ll call back and try to get another appointment just for that instead of the checkup I was scheduled for. I’ll try to explain what the deal is. The bad news...it still hurts. The good news...I haven’t taken another tumble. LOL!
Really glad you had your good friend with you for support. Important!
I’m glad she went along too. My brain was still scrambled eggs yesterday and she helped me keep my wits together.
The shock is slowly beginning to wear off and I’ve gotten through today fairly well. I still keep wishing I’d wake up from this dream that I DO NOT LIKE AT ALL but it won’t work that way. Just have to get used to and settle into the new life that was tossed in my lap. I will, ODAAT.
