The Christians of all stripes are allowed to live and worship freely. Proselytising is banned though and conversion from Islam is banned. But the life of Christians and Jews in Iran is better than any place in the Islamic world besides Lebanon.

OK,I can accept that as being true up until 1979. But after that? Not that many years ago very few Jews understood that Hitler having come to power was bad news for them...at least early on. But they eventually caught on.

Ditto with Khomeini...I would have thought that Jews (and Christians) would have eventually gotten the message. It's not as if those 9th Century pig fornicating knuckledraggers were subtle or anything.

Jews and Christians in Azerbaijan have religious liberty. Those in Iran are hostages and scapegoats. And you have absolutely no concept of Islamic repression in Iran over the centuries. The Shi'ites there believe that non-Muslims pollute the streets in the rain.
