OK,I can accept that as being true up until 1979. But after that? Not that many years ago very few Jews understood that Hitler having come to power was bad news for them...at least early on. But they eventually caught on.

But Christians who are born Christians can live and worship freely. I said “who are born Christians” - so the Armenian or Assyrian Church.

If a Catholic or Protestant were to preach there, there would be trouble (putting it mildly)

currently, there are at least 6000 churches and 380,000–1,500,000 Christians in Iran —> these Christians date from the first century AD - the Apostles Bartholomew and Thaddeus preached and won converts among the gentiles there.

Of the 150,000 or so under the Pahlevi most fled, mostly to the US or Israel. There are less than 10,000 left. Of those remaining, some may be comfortable with the government. Others, and I understand though wouldn’t stay myself, may be motivated by the fact that it’s been their home for nearlly 3 millenia. Rumor has it that among the first to arrive was Jacob’s granddaughter. A long time. Under both friendly and less friendly, as now, governments.
