Why fewer states than ever could pick the next president
CNN ^ | 11/23/2022 | Ronald Brownstein

CNN — The results of this month’s election point toward a 2024 presidential contest that will likely be decided by a tiny sliver of voters in a rapidly shrinking list of swing states realistically within reach for either party.

With only a few exceptions, this year’s results showed each side further consolidating its hold over the states that already lean in its direction. And in 2024 that will likely leave control of the White House in the hands of a very small number of states that are themselves divided almost exactly in half between the parties – a list that looks even smaller after this month’s outcomes.

Stanley Greenberg, a veteran Democratic pollster, speaks for many strategists in both parties when he points to the enormous “continuity among the elections” since Donald Trump emerged as a national figure. “We’ve now gone through 2016, ’18, ‘20 and ‘22 – and all looked pretty much alike,” he says. “And it has locked in the coalitions.”

The last electoral blowout was 1988 Bush 41 with 426. I don't see that ever happening again.

Because you lawless Marxists have seized control of the levers of power in the courts and agencies, and have destroyed the protections enshrined in our Constitution.

This may change in the next several years. People forget that many "truisms" suddenly collapse. I grew up in a world where the Democrats "always" held the House of Representatives. But then came the Gingrich revolt of 1994. The GOP was assumed to have a built-in advantage for the Presidency. Now, not so much.

Then there is the former swing state of Florida.

If certain trends continue, we will soon see a seismic shift in political alignment. The movement of Latinos to the GOP is potentially decisive at the national level.

I don’t know who the Democrats/Republicans would have to nominate to get a 1964/1972/1984/1988-style electoral map. Feels like, unlike in the past, a huge percentage of voters will just stick with their party even if their nominee is garbage.

The Several States do not pick the president.

Washington District of Corruption does, thru their subsidiaries.

You are probably right. I bookmarked a number of websites about the election, but now none of them can be found? Maybe the other states are Google, Facebook and Amazon?

The political polarization is quite remarkable, much like 1860.
Major difference is the producers, red states against the consumers, blue states. Most modern blue cites don’t produce anything tangible. It is all paper. Soon the producers will tire of supporting the blue city voters.

Maybe the media should select the pResident. /s

This is a complete bull sheeet article meant only as propaganda to condition Americans to think that their vote does not count. It goes hand-in-hand with election fraud doing the same thing. If people believe that, then any elections become selections. The eff’n Marxists at CNN is already using the word ‘select’ as part of this article.

Material and physical goods are certainly produced by the red states. However, unlike in 1860, we have a large service economy, and here, don’t blue states like NY, CA, MN, WA, IL dominate in finance, e-commerce, communications, and healthcare?

You are correct.
Do you need a stock certificate?
Do you need an Ebay?
Do you need a cell phone or movie?
Do you need a boob or nose job?

I have over 270+ electoral college votes from rigged States. So, unless there is a miracle, all future Presidential elections are kabuki theater with the selected “winner” always a Uniparty member.

I will still vote as I am not a quitter, but I do not believe we have real elections and I do not believe there is anything that a person can do to restore honest elections.

The natural ebb and flow has been destroyed by a new factor and it is a complete game changer. Never before has the cheating been this ubiquities, diverse and able to change the majority outcome. It’s so bad that if Biden ran again he would win despite poll numbers and half a brain unless something is done to mitigate the vote fraud.

What we need is educated voters.

The electorate is getting dumber every election cycle.

In PA they elected a dead man and a rotting vegetable who is going after their livelihoods (fracking) and coal.

Stupidly can’t be helped.

Why live under rules made by people that hate you?
Why live with people you want nothing to do with?

National Divorce is the answer.
Of course it’s possible, it’s just the mechanics of it all.

No Civil War - just Civil Separation
Choose Freedom - Choose Peace
