The first thing you notice about America’s 42nd president when he walks out on stage is how much skinnier he is today than he was 30 years ago, when he staged a shocking upset of a sitting president who only a year earlier had a 90 per cent approval rating.
Bill Clinton doesn’t really walk out on stage. He sort of ambles out slowly with a huge grin on his face, surveying the audience. On this day, it immediately offers a standing ovation even before he enters from the wings.
And why not? Toronto has always loved Clinton, as evidenced by the fact that the former president boasts he’s made 35 trips to Canada since he left the White House in 2000.
“You should make me pay taxes here,” he jokes to much laughter, before adding, “Actually, I do. On my speaking fees.”
Earlier this week, Clinton sat down for more than hour for a conversation at the Ontario Real Estate Association’s special 100th-anniversary get-together at Exhibition Place. OREA’s chief executive officer Tim Hudak did the interview and had plenty of laudatory things to say about Clinton — somewhat ironic, considering the former Ontario PC Party leader would no doubt have voted for Clinton’s Republican opponent in both of his presidential elections. Notwithstanding that, Hudak did an excellent job and avoided the typical questions: Any regrets? Your greatest accomplishment? Instead, he led Clinton through a wide range of issues and got the former president to offer many interesting insights on today’s perilous world.

I could listen to him all day if I thought he were telling the truth. This guy knows things.

The best story I have ever heard on Billy Jeff is how the great Lee Rodgers described Clinton: The Hillbilly Whorehopper From Hot Springs (he was not born in Hope, Arkansas) .

I never heard him say:
“I did not have sex with Hillary”
But that might be telling the truth I don’t know if he’s really capable of that.
I still remember losing sight of jogging Bill back in 1992 but not to worry he found his target the blonde reporter standing on the sidewalk nearby.

He looks like hes been dead for the past ten years Hillary has sucked the life force out of him, and not in a Lewinsky kind of way.

Clinton preyed on self esteem problems of some of his victims. Uh, alleged I guess I should say.

My wife is Canadian. When she talks to family and friends, they always bring up American politics and politicians and what's wrong with them etc. They all love Biden and Obama (when CNN is your major US news source, it's no wonder).
I always think "Fix your own damn problems first! Your country is just as F'd up as anywhere else these days. Why don't you focus on Turdeau etc and always on our idiots?"
How can you tell when Bill Clinton is lying? His lips are moving.
A large portion of people desire to be lied to. They want to believe memes, cliches and fairytales. They want those above them to confirm their own biases.
Bill Clinton figured that out early-on, and made a great living from it.
It’s pretty much the same the world over. Everyone conservative I know who talks to relatives in Europe, Israel, India, etc., complains about the same thing— brainwashed idiots, who mainly due to indoctrination by local media and schools, are quite certain that the Democrats are the great heroes of the U.S. while the Republicans are the country’s incorrigible villains.
