Russia's Wagner Group sends bloodied sledgehammer to EU

Russia's Wagner Group mercenaries have sent a "bloodied" sledgehammer in a violin case to the European Parliament after members started proceedings to label them as terrorists.

Sledgehammers have become an unofficial symbol of the Kremlin-linked group because its fighters have used them to kill during overseas missions.

In a video posted on one of its Telegram channels, a suited lawyer working for Wagner Group carries a violin case into a bare room and places it on a table.

He lifts the lid of the violin case, showing off a highly polished sledgehammer. The head has been engraved with Wagner's logo and the handle has been dabbed with red paint to depict blood.

It’s a reference to Wagner—an openly Neo-Nazi Russian outfit—use of the sledge hammer on innocent people on video tape.

First of a Syrian alleged deserter, who was tortured on video by having his hands and feet smashed with a sledge hammer. Then they cut his throat, removed his head, hangs and feet, and hung his body up while posing next to it.

The second is of a prisoner who was returned into their custody and then executed with a sledgehammer because he did a video for Ukraine where he stated he didn’t really want to be there and offered to join the Ukrainian side.

I guess that’s technically “gangster,” in the sense of being criminal and pure evil.

Threads like this one are excellent for exposing the distinction between those who just don’t want the U.S. involved, and those actively rooting for Russia.

IOW, Trump killing Soleimani, who was in Iraq plotting terror attacks against our own people, is the same as executing helpless civilians/captives with a hammer?

Obviously, these two things are not the same, even despite your knee jerk communist "whataboutism".

“Russia is about to unleash hell over the next few weeks.”

Those who sow the wind will reap the whirlwind.

Sounds like a video game. The EU weenies are probably hiding in their basements.

” the Wagner PMC has a British battalion commanded by a US citizen, a former Marine Corps general.”

that said, is it supposed to be a real BTG or just a battalion size number of men, 600-800

they should be easy to find soon as they make contact...

Those who sow the wind will reap the whirlwind.

Putinists keep calling on God to unleash the whirlwind on their enemies, but the whirlwind never comes, because God hates Putinists.

You’re right of course.

I’m on neutral ground with regards to the conflict. I think you have to be intellectually dishonest to think that the Ukraine will come out victorious over Russia without NATO involvement.

I also believe Ukraine’s government is corrupt beyond reproach, as is Russia’s. Putin is evil - without a doubt and I loathe that demon for all of the injustice he’s done.

That said, it looks like Russia is about to mount a massive offensive campaign over the next few weeks.

There was one previous occasion when Prigozhin made a claim, initially not believed.

This was about Wagner making a deal with Russia about allowing some categories of prisoners be released to join Wagner.

Turned out to be correct and a number of names eventually came out, including a mafia boss who was serving (I think) 17-year term, released and KIA in Donbass.

So..... who knows.

You are a blind, anti-Russian, neocon/war supporter. And That's OK. many people are. It doesn't make you a freak. It makes you common. Maybe you get paid for it. IDK. Everything you say about knee-jerk reactionary "whataboutism" is exactly what you do in EVERY.SINGLE.ONE. of your posts.

It won't change your thinking, certainly - but I am pointing out that all governments of large nations conduct political killings and assassinations against perceived enemies, with all means at their disposal.

The resident KGB trolls on here do the same.

Anachronism. The KGB was disbanded in 1991.

Russia started a war and now Russia is losing that war.

In other news the Russians are trying to distract the people at home by ramping up tensions with Japan over the Kuril Islands. As if that’s anything new and as if Japan is going to do anything to take their islands back.

I am also seeing very weird and very flaky propaganda on You Tube right now claiming that Putin was arrested by the Japanese during a trip to Japan. Odd.

Why would the USA taking out an active, loose enemy like Soleimani be the equivalent of torturing and killing captive prisoners who (1) weren't generals, (2) weren't criminals, (3) hadn't committed any actual crimes, (4) were not planning to commit an actual crime? And does this mean you are in favor of Wagner's slow torture and murder of the Syrian who allegedy deserted Assad's army (there was never any proof that he was even a deserter) on the grounds that "every country does it"? You say I'm blind, so maybe you can walk me through the equivalence you are attempting to make in a clear, logical way.

Doubt it is easy to find out, Wagner has its own structure.

There was a news item a couple of days ago about a battalion of former Uke soldiers who switches side... the article said “50 of them”. A battalion of 50? Only thing for sure is sloppy reporting.

Cap Prigozhin

How hard can it be?
It should be a #1 priority.

Good. Now be so kind as to recognize that the Nazi Party was disbanded in 1945 and it is not active in Ukraine or anywhere else. Thx.

Obama admitted he droned over 3000 people.

No doubt they were all convicted murderers

Anachronism. The KGB was disbanded in 1991.

But this didn't eliminate the criminal KGB members themselves, who either became FSB, FSB controlled oligarchs, FSB controlled Russian Orthodox Archbishops, or FSB controlled politicians.
