It's been nearly one month since Elon Musk entered Twitter's San Francisco headquarters carrying a sink, and he's apparently still discovering new areas of the seven-story, 480,000 square foot office space.
On Tuesday night, Musk stumbled upon quite the find in a closet at Twitter HQ and, while it's not literal skeletons, the find does help explain part of what was wrong with the ideological homogeneity of Twitter's corporate culture that favored leftists and castigated conservatives for years.
In a video posted to Twiter, Musk can be heard explaining "Here we are at the merch, and there's an entire closet full of #woke t-shirts" while he pans around the closet showing shelves full of t-shirts emblazoned with "#StayWoke."

The woke Twitter tees were seemingly forgotten leftovers from the pre-Musk era at the company, and the message behind them was explained by the platform's co-founder Jack Dorsey at a tech conference in June 2016.
When asked about the #staywoke slogan, Dorsey explained that his interpretation is "really being aware, and staying aware, and keep questioning. Being awake, and eyes wide open around what's happening in the world," Dorsey continued. "We saw that in Ferguson," Dorsey said. And there it is.
The woke Twitter tees were the woke result of the woke company's response to the shooting death of Michael Brown and resulting chaos in Ferguson. It was also, like most of the media and Democrats' — but I repeat myself — response, based on a lie. One that Musk noted to in a reply to the video of his find.
"#StayWoke shirts stem from the Ferguson protests. Obama's own DOJ proved this & exonerated the cop," Musk said in a since-deleted reply. ""'Hands up don't shoot" was made up. The whole thing was a fiction," he added.
In another reply, Musk included the link to the Obama Department of Justice's 2015 report on the shooting death of Michael Brown by Ferguson, Missouri police officer Darren Wilson.
https://t.co/PervJOJQbq— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) November 23, 2022
That report concludes that "Wilson's account is corroborated by physical evidence and that his perception of a threat posed by Brown is corroborated by other eyewitnesses" while there "is no credible evidence that Wilson willfully shot Brown as he was attempted to surrender or was otherwise not posing a threat." The DOJ, under President Obama, therefore found that "because Wilson did not act with the requisite criminal intent, it cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt to a jury that he violated [the law] when he fired his weapon at Brown."
Twitter should have known better. The DOJ's report was issued before its t-shirts were hyped as a response to Ferguson in 2016. But it didn't stop them from using Ferguson as a rallying cry to "stay woke." That is, they weren't interested in the truth or accuracy, they were interested in virtue signaling and forcing that view on their users.
Some former Twitter employees were not so pleased that Musk was going to trash the woke merch, including one who said "we worked hard" on it, despite the fact that it's merely white text on black t-shirts...not exactly a Sistine Chapel-level effort.
Please send them to me. We worked hard on that merch and I’d rather distribute it myself than to know it is in a garbage can. https://t.co/st3fxh2ZNO— Sio. M (@JustCallMeSio) November 23, 2022
No wonder it was so easy to fire so many nitwits who won’t be missed
Elon Musk finds closet full of #stay woke T shirts at Twitter

Musk is going to rebrand them “Stay Awake!” and hand them out to all his remaining employees as their Christmas bonus.
Print a red slash through them and give them out.
“ really being aware, and staying aware, and keep questioning. Being awake, and eyes wide open around what’s happening in the world,”
If that is what woke means, why are all the woketards such ‘tards? They seem to be aware of things that don’t exist, and unaware of things that do exist. They are always angry and have chips on their shoulders. To the woke, the greatest crime, after unrepentant whiteness, is causing offense to a woketard. How can those people even go about their day?
White imprint in a standard font and that employee describes that as “hard work”.
Gee thanks for IDing yourself to anyone looking to hire a nitwit.
Someone on twitter suggested giving them to the homeless nah, their lives are already miserable why make them feel worse
Most of those fired or who quit were members of the secret Witless Society and like the tee shirts, stayed hidden in the closet.
I hate these clickbait headlines. Just say what was on the damn shirt in the headline.
Ironic, isn’t it? Dorsey’s statement indicts all the “woke” people. They have zero awareness of history, of totalitarianism, of Robespierre, Mao, Stalin, Marx, Hitler or Lenin and what happens to societies that blindly follow such demagogues. They are the last people in the world who have “eyes wide open around what’s happening in the world.” They don’t see how the totalitarians are taking control everywhere you look.
ON COMPANY TIME, NO DOUBT!
“Please send them to me. We worked hard on that merch and I’d rather distribute it myself than to know it is in a garbage can.”

OK, no garbage can. Burn them, with gasoline. Film it and distribute on the Web
Can't remember the very small percentage of employees still at Twitter, but he claims it currently has more users than ever. Don't know if he will eventually profit from his buyout, but I believe he won't miss his 44billion purchase. The man is a genius, or at least hires them. I still wonder why NASA never created return booster rockets, on a floating platform no less. I wonder if that was Musk's concept or the exceptional engineers he hires.
Now if Tesla engineers could do something about the fires caused by lithium batteries, not to mention the small lithium batteries in our garages for our lawn machines. What a breakthrough that would be. Patent a new battery system and he would own the world.
The uniform of the individualist.
Donate ‘em to the new dude at Disney - they’re having some financial trouble and could probably use some help.
My son’s house almost burned to the ground when a very small RC lithium battery he was charging in the garage caught fire.
Those tshirts were printed and stored 6 years ago.
Why did they print so many? What effort was made to sell or even give them away?
Which departmental budget? How many layers of approval for this requisition?
Anyone who has ever worked at a big company knows that it takes signatures from on high to get approval and a purchase order.
Was almost certainly for a favored high end employee in HR.
If they were honest it would say #StayIndoctrinated or #SupportCensorship.
snake skins...
