Socrates defines individual justice as “What is good for the individual soul.” He defines justice for the community as “Each person doing their part in a way that others do not interfere with their societal roles.” Social justice as applied in the United States fails to meet either definition of justice. Social justice policies have caused massive property destruction, increased crime, increased inequities, and increased racism. Rather than meeting Socrates’ definition of justice, they embody injustice by their very nature. These policies cause both individual harm and cripple many of the essential functions of society.
In 2020, businesses and neighborhoods were looted, burnt, vandalized, and shredded during the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots. Across the country, hundreds of mostly minority communities were torn apart in the name of “social justice.” Under the claim that the riots were necessary to right past wrongs, the damage stripped communities of resources, families of incomes, and left neighborhoods abandoned. Social justice warriors (or rioters, depending on your perspective) claimed that they were protesting on behalf of minorities, yet it was minority communities that were devastated.
Supposedly, social justice is about righting past wrongs and creating equity, outcomes that are the same across all tiers of society. The outcomes created by the 2020 protests severely damaged minority communities. There was nothing equitable about those outcomes, nor was there anything resembling justice.
Social justice has swept across the United States. The idea of righting past wrongs and creating equity has been used to justify affirmative action in education, hiring based on race and not merit, farm subsidies based on race, cashless bail, prison reform, defunding the police, and Critical Race Theory (CRT).

Social Justice = Tyranny
Blind Justice = Liberty
Equity is ownership. Typically, it requires some method of buy-in to obtain. Being black or a woman or any other grouping that you have no control over is not buy-in. Never will be.
Equity is just another word for communism. It is what it is. Equity = oppression
The flaw in social justice begins with the flaw in its premise. The social justice movement was founded on the idea that slavery was the primary driving force that created the United States, and that as such, the founding, and the country itself, were illegitimate.
But Even if that premise were true — and it is not — this country’s attitude toward slavery changed so much that hundreds of thousands lost their lives during the Civil War to bring an end to slavery. One hundred years later, many fought to abolish Jim Crow laws, bringing legal equality to all races. That would not have happened if attitudes about race had not changed dramatically. Race-neutral attitudes have taken a huge leap forward over the past 250 years.
If attitudes toward slavery and race have long since matured and moved toward a race-neutral position, then social justice is trying to right a wrong which no longer exists. The social justice movement ignores this attitudinal change and is in many ways reversing that progress.
Equity != Equal opportunity
Equity is punishing whites and certain Asians to help “tan” people to have equal results.
Europe is Europe, and Africa is Africa for biological reasons.
Also, equity just means Communism.
But it doesn't -- there must also be someone to blame. Preferably someone with deep pockets. Like all of those White Devils, for example.
Really? Where?
Slavery aside, my view is simple: Who sets the “Social Justice” laws? Where are they written? Can I read them somewhere? Are there penalties? How are they enforced and by whom? Can I appeal a ruling? Can the laws be amended or changed? By whom? What are their qualifications? Do offenders have any right to a fair trial? …
Social Justice is better described as “Socialist Just-Us”.
Just keeping the terms straight.
RE: Really? Where?
Maybe we should consult Plato’s work because everything we know about Socrates came from his writings.
Exactly.
And Plato was a bilious blowhard.
RE: And Plato was a bilious blowhard.
And it was from His REPUBLIC that the seeds of Communism and Big Government were sown.
Social justice. Thievers license.
Special treatment is NOT equal treatment. Not too hard to figure that out. Well not hard for some people. 😧😁👍
The word justice is just like the word perfect. They only make sense when they stand alone. The meaning of both is lost as soon as a modifier is added.
Those that claim identity victimhood are no better than useful idiots from the Soviet era. They don’t even know what they are protesting in the Burning, Looting and Murdering.
I blame the leftist education establishment and their indoctrination efforts over the last 40+ years. These groomers are not just producing sexual deviants. They are producing useful idiots. History is dumbed down and altered with Marxist ideology, often while abusing the definition of words.
I am so adamantly against this and have always been. I refuse to change my usage of the American language that I learned in my formative years. That is one battlefront in the war against these Commies. If we cede our language we surrender our thoughts, ideas and arguments to the enemy. (Yes, I mean enemy in the truest form of the word, and war with all its blood, gore and horrors might be required to vanquish the enemy.)
Their opening gambit is always slander and nothing they say can ever be taken at face value.
Social Justice , Social Distancing etc etc , Hmm a lot of social crap
