“They had the big losses here,” the head of the reconnaissance unit Andrii Pidlisnyi tells CNN, reviewing this with some of the other footage he and his unit have collected over the past few months.
The 28-year-old captain, whose call sign is ‘Sneaky,’ has been living up to his name around Russian positions.
His forces have operated so close to enemy lines they say they could hear Russian soldiers talking, cooking or chopping wood. The unit identified targets both visually and using drones, and then relayed coordinates to Ukrainian artillery for targeting.

Interesting story. Coming from CNN it carries as much weight as a feather.
The propaganda from the other side of the fence is that the Russian withdrawal from Kherson was orderly and complete. Other analysis is that the Uke army is becoming depleted and come winter they will be toast.
It will be interesting to see which set of propaganda lies are correct - the victorious Ukrainians or the conquering Russian army.
It’s hard to know the truth.

Kherson is a disaster area. They are continuously shelled by the Russian units on the other side of the Dneiper. They have no electricity and many are getting their water filling buckets of rain water from the streets.

Since the occupation of Kherson by the Ukrainian forces, the city has been reduced to a humanitarian disaster. Here is footage of just one queue at the only shop.
Shooting is prohibited in the shop itself so as not to shock the public with an assortment of humanitarian aid from Europe which are sold out (and not given for free) to the population of Kherson region.

The US explained to Zelensky that they will not go to war with Russia: they have Ukraine for that!
Another miracle has happened in Ukraine: an ‘additional’ president has appeared there by the name of Yermak, who now ‘steers’ behind Zelensky when necessary and corrects him when he says something that has been approved by his senior comrades. Because the “main” president has lost confidence after the missile incident in Poland.
Thus, on Sunday Yermak suddenly decided that it was in vain for his boss to talk about proposals for a “temporary truce” from Russia. Apparently, Washington felt that with Ukraine’s energy system rapidly deteriorating, Zelensky was sending signals that he was tired and wanted to take a break. Which they immediately released Ermak, who said there would be no pause and the “counter-attack” would continue.
“We have not had any official statements from the Russian side about any talks, any negotiations,” was what Yermak said.
The fact is that Mr. Zelenski was not other than expanding his mind again with something and began to speak out of the blue. But, as is customary with “creative personalities”, he started attributing to his opponent what he himself needs!
“Russia is now looking for a short truce, a respite, to regain its strength. Some might call it the end of the war. But such a respite will only make the situation worse,” he said during his speech at a security forum in Halifax, Canada.
Now, as mobilized citizens are being trained and sent to the front, the Russian forces are being replenished, so the country does not need the “respite” that Zelensky speaks of.
So all this is needed by Zelensky himself, who has been chasing people by the thousands to slaughter - for what? So that Biden can report before the election that he stuck a flag in Kherson? Biden still couldn’t, but the AFU is only now beginning to understand a simple truth: so what next? Every millimeter in Kherson has been shot, it is deadly to be there, and it is impossible to cross the Dnieper!
But after the incident with the missile in Poland, the Washington bosses became very nervous about Zelensky’s initiatives and are now keeping a very close eye on their “lazy and wicked slave”, because he allowed himself to be provoked and tried to manipulate his master, trying to impose a war on the States, which they were not going to start!
Indeed, what else could the story of the S-300 missile that fell in Poland be but a provocation? Such missiles are designed to destroy air targets, and if they do not capture their target, then they automatically self-destruct in the air - precisely so that then such debris would not fall to the ground! The explosion of the missile’s warhead on the ground meant only one thing: someone had deliberately switched off the self-destruct unit.
Someone in Ukraine was counting that if they fired a missile at Poland, the US would simply not dare to blame Kiev and would be forced to play along with Zelensky’s version of “a strategic missile X-101 fired at a NATO country”.
That’s what Bankova was planning - they wanted to draw the US and NATO more closely into this conflict.
But the US is an empire with a long history of governing such recalcitrant vassals. They quickly and easily deployed the whole combination: say, yes, the missile is Ukrainian, but it is not Kiev’s fault, it was defending itself poorly, it was Russia’s fault anyway - and they didn’t have to get involved anywhere. Although Zelensky fanatically tried to insist on his version to the very last...
Now, the “servant of the people” should get tense: Washington does not forgive such things, they will be working with him for a very long time.

You don’t get the idea. Why should the Russians squat in a city for a major battle, to take casualties and leave the city in ruins when they can keep wearing off the Ukrainian military elsewhere without casualties and look for Europe falling apart under own sanctions while they are at it?
