This is why we need an integrated voting system similar to self-checkout terminals at grocery stores.

Transmit the votes instantly to a Mastercard-run server farm capable of processing billions of transactions, and produce the results immediately after the local polls close.

France outlawed mail-in ballots decades ago.

They conduct their entire national election on election day with paper ballots and have the results that evening.

The only reason you wouldn’t do it that way is because it makes fraud too difficult.
