The United States will take part in the creation of and contribute to a fund that will pay developing nations to tackle climate change.
The fund, negotiated at the United Nations' COP27 Summit, was originally known as a 'loss and damage' fund and had been blocked by previous American administrations.
With a final climate accord already more than a day overdue, representatives of nearly 200 nations were anxious for an agreement they could bill as a step forward in the fight against climate change. ADVERTISEMENT
The nations involved are largely from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and the south pacific, who see the matter as payback for a crisis that they did not contribute to but nonetheless could, in their view, destroy them.
Biden was granted $1 billion to help developing countries tackle climate change, although it's unclear if that cash will go into this fund.
The president also faces having his plans stymied by the GOP-majority house, which would have to approve any funding.
And gas-guzzling China wouldn't have to contribute to any global fund, because it is still considered a developing nation. The United States will take part in the creation of and contribute to a fund that will pay developing nations to tackle climate change

deliberately sucking us dry by the enemies we have in government
I have no words...
Biden is a madman. Impeach him.
Only Congress can ratify treaties and allocate money.
Yep, this is just another money laundering scheme from the democrat communists.
How many coal plants is CCP-China building per month? 50? 100? They should be paying TRILLIONS in BS ‘reparations’.
China won’t pay a nickel into the fund.
This is part of the global reparations process where all the wealth from America is scattered to third world hellholes.
England is to this day paying China $50m in foreign aid.
Someone read the book to Biden about Johnny Appleseed to him and he thinks it’s about him.
He and his chaos crew are as crazy as it gets.
Sadly, you’re right about all of that.
Do you think Trump could stop it? Or are ‘they’ too powerful at this point, to stop?
Yes.
The money going to third world countries is just going down the drain, enriching few millionaires and billionaires.
E.g. the richest country in Africa is Equatorial Guinea, profiteering from big oil.
But all the money goes to the ruling family and friends. 70% of citizens live on less than $1 a day!
Right you are.
