Attorneys for E. Jean Carroll, an Elle magazine former advice columnist, said Thursday she will file suit in Manhattan federal court, Bloomberg reported.
SNIP
The Adult Survivors Act, passed by Albany earlier this year, placed a temporary suspension of the statute of limitations on sex crimes. This allowed Carroll and other victims a one-year window to file civil lawsuits against their attackers.

This “turd” of a law will be flushed quickly.

Civil suits only require ‘more likely than not’ to succeed. Basically you just have to convince a jury the allegations are 50.01% likely to be true, then you win.

Even if he did it (which I don’t believe), this would normally fall under the Grandfather Clause, no?

Even if he did it (which I don’t believe), this would normally fall under the Grandfather Clause, no? My off hand understanding is that the Legislature is free to extend an unexpired statute of limitations, but it cannot revive a cause action already barred by limitations.
Of course, you have to balance that against the custom of some judges of ruling against Trump without reference to the merits of his case.

I looked at some photos and saw that lady has crazy eyes. There is no way that President Trump would have had anything to do with her.
