FBI Director Christopher Wray Refuses to Answer Whether FBI Had Sources ‘Dressed as Trump Supporters’ on Jan. 6

The FBI has never confirmed having confidential sources or undercover agents among the crowd on Jan. 6 but court filings indicate that a number of sources were embedded with the Oath Keepers and other groups whose members took part in the Capitol breach.

Questioned on the matter in 2021, then-FBI official Jill Sanborn said she could not answer.

Officials have also not answered questions about videos that show doors being opened on Jan. 6, enabling people to enter the Capitol.

I hope someone asks Wray whether a single whistle-blower should be enough to impeach a President.

Then ask what should happen to an FBI Director when a dozen whistle-blowers come forward.

For those who don't know, or don't remember, There was a bombshell from the New York Times dropped right in the middle of the election that yes, there had been FBI informants involved both as part of the Oathkeepers group and as part of the Proud Boys. Then the New York Times followed that up this week noting that the FBI may have had as many as eight informants involved with the Proud Boys. The big question would be if they had that many people involved in the groups, why didn’t they do anything to stop the riot beforehand? And why wasn’t there more protection at the Capitol by the police?

While he was Prez Trump made critical statements about the Politicization of the FBi and Wray’s refusal to fix it.

Marco Rubio, Graham, Grassley, and several others immediately made statements supporting Wray.

One of the better known hearings, Republicans gave him a tongue bath and Lindsey Graham said Wray only needs to pick a number for his budget - and he dares anyone to oppose it.
