ORLANDO – Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida received a hero’s welcome on Tuesday night, as he addressed an audience of leading Republican minutes before former President Donald Trump announced he was launching a 2024 White House bid.
DeSantis, who last week won a landside re-election victory for a second term steering Florida, garnered a standing ovation from the audience as he delivered a keynote conversation at the Republican Governors Association’s winter meeting in Orlando, according to multiple sources in the room.
According to one source, DeSantis spotlighted his "impressive re-election campaign" and how he won Maimi-Dade County, connecting with Hispanic voters.
Another source told Fox News that governor received an "enthusiastic" response as he "recapped the Florida blueprint and the path to winning Hispanics, women, and independents."
And a third source added that the speech received a very warm reception from an audience that is energized about the possibilities of taking the DeSantis model and applying it to battleground states across the country.

For those who value the truth, they will feel foolish for “liking” DeSwoonster as he gets schmoozed by the anti-MAGA cabal and is led to believe the “Party” wants him to be President. This is happening now.

DeSantis had to be reminded his vote totals were well over a million less than in 2020, near 25% more voters went for Trump in 2020.
Is DeSantis a bad guy? No.
Then why does he go along with this sewage of thinking?
Because he’s a typical political brain, never started or ran a business, just took money and messages that he was “the choice”, and he laps it up because he can’t think outside the box he’s put in.
Does that make him a bad guy? No, it just makes him typical.
He has been allowed to carry scripts written for him that push the buttons of conservatives and he likely believes what’s written in these scripts which are popular.
But that doesn’t change the fact he was allowed to win as revealed by studying the findings in the link above.

This time I think Trump will run a third party style campaign but on the republican ticket. I’ve been thinking the same about Tulsi. Trump will take on both parties and what better way to do that than to have a young and attractive disaffected democrat kicked out of the democrat party on the ticket? He will try to bring in more democrats, more minorities. There will be very tough economic times in 2024. It just might work.

One of the head honcho Repubs in our county stopped by to see how things were going, and oh, by the way, Ron DeSantis is running for President!
He thought he was talking to the choir….
I was angry…..controlled but angry
I told him….’this can’t be true, he said he wouldn’t run against Trump’
He smiled and said ‘He’s running’
I said ‘but Trump supported him for the governor’s race’
He said….’doesn’t matter’
I said ‘this will divide the Party’
It didn’t matter to him
I realize what I’ve said may seem ‘anecdotal’ but this is my personal account of what happened.
He didn’t expect us to disagree……..

I’ve lived here for many years and have always been involved politically, at some level
I have been ‘burned out’ by the local Republicans before….there’s only a core few, it seems, who have any depth

The day you finally admit to yourself there’s not a dime’s bit of difference between the two parties, and that their goal is to perpetuate some sort of dual controlled opposition to keep us divided while they, their interests, and their families make tons of money is one tough day.
Last week Elise Stefanik burst forward with enthusiasm to endorse Donald Trump.
I expected DeSantis to do the same. I waited and waited, nothing.
Then I did something I’m not supposed to do, I started thinking with my brain.

I knew Floridians would vote en masse for a conservative candidate, but given the powers detailed in the above link, it wouldn’t matter what Floridians wanted. DeSantis could have been defeated at anytime by injecting a million counterfeit ballots tied to real names and addresses.
