ORLANDO – Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida received a hero’s welcome on Tuesday night, as he addressed an audience of leading Republican minutes before former President Donald Trump announced he was launching a 2024 White House bid.

DeSantis, who last week won a landside re-election victory for a second term steering Florida, garnered a standing ovation from the audience as he delivered a keynote conversation at the Republican Governors Association’s winter meeting in Orlando, according to multiple sources in the room.

According to one source, DeSantis spotlighted his "impressive re-election campaign" and how he won Maimi-Dade County, connecting with Hispanic voters.

Another source told Fox News that governor received an "enthusiastic" response as he "recapped the Florida blueprint and the path to winning Hispanics, women, and independents."

And a third source added that the speech received a very warm reception from an audience that is energized about the possibilities of taking the DeSantis model and applying it to battleground states across the country.

Okay, so? What does one have to do with another? What a ridiculous headline to combine a news story out of two completely separate events.

So? People can like both men. This trying to start an inner party battle is disgusting.

All this infighting will not help. If Desantis gets the nomination - Trump will run 3rd party and fuck the whole thing up.. Trump should take Desantis as his VP — Desantis is young, he needs a little experience in Washington.

That would REALLY piss off the media too :)

Thats an epic Tag team right there.

Fox thinks they run the Republican Party just don’t watch them and after 2020 they had no choice since their ratings started to fall off the planet

MSM creating division between conservatives.

Trump made DeSantis what he is now in FL.

Leave DeSantis as Governor so he can lead the way in showing others how to turn their states red

Trump didn't have any, nor did Reagan. And I think the chances of DeSantis becoming Trump's running mate are infintesimal.

Trump is steering towards a unity ticket with Tulsi. I’m not saying I agree with it or trust her, but Trump kept hitting on the theme of unity tonight. He knows he needs to moderate his tone and limit his unenforced errors and he’s goimg to need moderates and Independents in greater number. Tulsi was campaigning hard for MAGA candidates this fall. That wasn’t an accident and it was coordinated. I don’t think DeSantis will run. There is no benefit to that now. He may take VP if offered but he will destroy his futur tangling with Trump. I don’t think he can win the nomination, bit if he does, he’s going to be damaged. I just think that it will be Trump/Tulsi in 2024.

I did not say YOU. LOL I said “people.”

I just want DeSantis to stay put. I am concerned about Trump’s age, though.

This is the Murdocks declaring war on MAGA. A few of the people left who watch them. Our elites have open contempt for the vast majority of Americans, we need to figure out how to let them know every day that they are irrelevant... we need to figure out how to defund them.
