A new study shows that more than 30% of households in Michigan are going without necessities like food and medicine in order to pay the utility bills.
Researchers at lendingtree.com looked at a survey from the U.S. Census Bureau. They found that just over 21% of household in Michigan were unable to pay at least part of one energy bill in the past 12 months. More than 20% of households kept their home at a temperature that felt unsafe or unhealthy due to the high cost of utilities.
News 8 spoke with Lending Tree’s chief credit analyst about some of the ways people have been getting by during this time.
“It just has a ripple effect across everything, because it’s not like you can just stop paying your utility bill, like you would cancel your Spotify or Netflix subscription. What people really need to do is they need to revisit that budget that they have,” Matt Schulz said. “Because if you haven’t looked at that in the last six or nine months, chances are, a lot of the assumptions that you made about what things are going to cost are now blown out of the water, because prices of things have risen so quickly.”
Schulz said it’s important if you’re struggling to take some sort of actions to help yourself and your family’s finances because inflation issues could end up getting worse.

The media can mention these types of problems now. Because they can now blame it on the GOP House. Yes, I know they will not be sworn in until January, but the LIV's are easily persuaded to believe whatever the MSM wants to be the new narrative.
Just like the WaPo now reporting that the documents from the Mar a Lago raid not being really anything too sensitive.
From the article:
That review has not found any apparent business advantage to the types of classified information in Trump’s possession, these people said. FBI interviews with witnesses so far, they said, also do not point to any nefarious effort by Trump to leverage, sell or use the government secrets. Instead, the former president seemed motivated by a more basic desire not to give up what he believed was his property, these people said.
The documents were simply documents and letters Trump wanted to keep, but the archivist wanted instead. Trump insisted and still insists they are his personal property. Much like documents retained by previous presidents.

My gosh if that keeps up they’ll have to give up eating out, lotto tickets, beer, cigarettes, and a streaming channel or two.
Multiple studies have shown the poor in the USA have a higher standard of living than most middle class Europeans.

People in Michigan must be pretty upset with the Lansing, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids districts who voted for more of the same old Whitmer policies that got them into this mess.

And it’ll only get worse since they elected to put democrats in the majority and in all the statewide positions.
Michigan will never elect a Republican.
And what folks aren’t seeing, slowly but surely they will start taking out any remaining Republicans at the state level and then work their way down.
Can’t imagine what the schools are going to be like in that state. Good Lord.
