Looks like R’s end up at 220-222.. I think the D’s have 222 currently.. and of course 50/50 in senate. maybe 51/49 depending on Walker...

The number of seats over 217 for Republicans, you need to
subtract from 218 to get the Democrat’s figure.
217 is the highest the Democrats could have at 218 for the
Republicans.

I wonder if the networks will interrupt programming to announce this. On Saturday night, they couldn’t restrain their gloating as they announced Dems retained control of the Senate.

The race has just been called in our favor. This secures a Republican Majority in the House of Representatives.
I think he’s talking about the number of Democrats in the current Congress, not the incoming one. His point (if I’m reading him right) being that the Pubbies are likely to have about the same size majority as the Dems do now. One would hope the Republicans can use it to get some payback for all the trouble the Dems have caused us with their investigations etc.
Sadly, not enough to make any changes...only to block more radical new policies and now stacking the courts and things like that are no longer a possibility. That’s good. But not much to celebrate beyond that.
