Representative Jim Banks (R-IN) said on this week’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday” that former President Donald Trump was not on the ballot in the midterms after the GOP underperformed.
Anchor Shannon Bream said, “Let’s talk 2024 because it is already here. Trump is expected to make an announcement on Tuesday. You have been an ally and supporter of his.”
Bream asked, “Is his announcement on Tuesday a good thing or bad thing for the GOP?”
Banks said, “Donald Trump remains a very popular figure in the Republican Party in each corner of the country. And remember when he was on the ballot and 2016 and 2020, we won a lot more seats than when he wasn’t on the ballot in 2018 and 2022.”
Bream said, “But his picks had a hard time.”
He continued, “He had also supported many candidates who won around the country, too. He wasn’t on the ballot in 2022.”
Banks added, “I believe that Donald Trump was a very effective president for our country. I believe he could be a very effective present for our country again.

And more on this “Trump” candidate stuff, they were elected by the voters in the primary. Trump endorsed candidates won in the primaries, meaning Republicans voted for them. Don’t attack the voters. But “Trump’s” candidates came closer to unseating incumbent Democrats in decades long blue strongholds than Mitch McConnell’s GOP establishment candidates could ever imagine being able to achieve. That’s why Mitch did everything he could to see his “picks” lose - at the root of McConnell’s power structure is his installed lieutenants.... not the voters. Poor Mitch. If only his candidates were nominated and the base (aka primary voters) would stop interfering with his plans the GOP would triumph. Bull####.
This is a valid point, but what’s the implication? That we do better in ‘24 if Trump is one the ballot. Sure, maybe we pick up some more House seats and maybe take the Senate. But the White House? I’m just having a hard time wrapping my head around Trump or DeSantis or any GOP candidate winning Pennsylvania in ‘24 ... or Michigan or Arizona. If they can manufacture enough votes for Fetterman to win, it’s hopeless unless we get real election reform in those places... or we start to try to fight fire with fire with our own ballot-harvesting operations.
Regardless, Fraud was rampant. We seem unable to beat the fraud. It was exposed by Benford’s law and following revelations, till the latest (2000 mules). And nothing is done. The constitution is defunct and the only law is cheating Dems are in charge and do what they want.

I repeatedly pleaded with the Trump White House to give the medal of freedom to Thomas Sowell, but they ignored my emails.
Trump is a man who can’t tolerate or forgive any criticism at all, and that is a serious weakness.
What happened in PA is it was STILL a close race, but you CAN’T have a debate near the end of October when you have 50 DAYS of early voting and the insanity of that. And so the Democrats played it that the ONLY way they would have a debate with Oz is that there was only 1 debate, 1 hour, a handful of questions, very late in the election process 10 days before the election. So you have well over a MILLION people who have already voted. That effected the election as well as a gubernartorial candidate, who I never cared for who was a DISASTER - didn’t campaign, didn’t want to talk to the traditional media, didn’t talk much to the other media, basically ran no ads, couldn’t raise money, didn’t debate and so forth and son. So it split the Republican ticket which hurt Oz. The Republican Governor LOST BY 14. Oz lost by only 4. Once you get a person going one way it is hard to get them back onto your side. So Oz really had his back against the wall. No excuses. But we shouldn’thave that issue again.
No use trying to fight in the Octagon using Marquess of Queensberry Rules style boxing. If your opponent isa take down exponent than you better be able to fight on the ground or you are toast. I cherish the first 4 UFC tournaments, and it was instructive seeing how standup fighters were taken down and beaten. Woah! As a news junkie, I am surprised I missed this...You are saying that back in summer when he crashed his bike, he was looking at a kindergartener in a bathing suit?!!
